Pregnancy Board!!

nadira36 - thanks so much for the website. It's really helpful and it did put my mind at ease. I asked the dr. several times to make sure and then asked the pharmacists too. I also did a bit of research on the net. In the end I decided to take the medicine because this ear infection was not going to clear up on it's own. Like you mentioned, if left untreated, it could cause more difficult problems and I didn't want to go down that path. Thanks again!

We're standard. We figured no point upgrading since we're okay with walking, and we're also not in the room that often. But close to the pool would be really nice! The Poly's been a dream of ours for years and this year it got to the point where we just couldn't afford to go. We figured there'd be no trip this year - or next for that matter.

So this is your second? Our second little girl is such an awesome little girl - just full of...well everything lol vinegar, spunk, fire, laughter:lovestruc she has the biggest smile int he world! So far each baby we've added to our family has been easier to add than the previous.

But I am a bit nervous about the upcoming trip - as far as how the dynamics will be with 3 LOs

The Garden View Room is Standard!!! You will love the Polynesian, it truly is breath-taking!

Yes, this is our 2nd baby!! Enjoy tomorrow!

Hey all! I'm new to the disboards! I am Jessa, I'm 22, and expecting my first LO on Valentines Day! I'm having a boy and naming him Zachary Thomas.

I've had some issues with this pregnancy.. I had my gallbladder out 5 weeks ago, and it's been ridiculous. I've started gaining my weight back (I lost 25 pounds in to months) and I'm being tested for GD Wednesday... again... I've gone twice already, and the first time, they couldn't draw blood, and the second time, they gave me a higher dose of sugar drink that my OB's office wouldn't approve.. and found out 10 minutes before I was due to get my blood drawn. I'm feeling like I should just request the three hour test.

How are all of you ladies?

Ah yay! When do you find out what your having? I'm hoping I'll be able to tell for sure when I have my 3d done in a couple of weeks! I can't wait to be able to take him to Disney.. Eh, I'm pretty sure I'm going to get my tubes tied after this.

Hi again everyone

I've been reading along, but not posting much. I'm 10 weeks pregnant and was pregnant with twins, but one "vanished" at 8 weeks. Apparently this is pretty common and while I'm sad about the loss, I'm working through it.

I did have a scare yesterday when at my u/s, the doc saw blood between the placenta and the uterus. Apparently the placenta either didn't attach right or is detaching from the uterus. Scary! I'm on modified bedrest, which means I can't exercise, lift my toddler or do more than a gentle walk. I'm not supposed to clean my house or do anything strenuous in the hope that the placenta will reattach. It's quite frightening. Thankfully, the remaining baby is measuring 10 weeks, 5 days, with a good heartbeat and was bouncing around my uterus.

I see my doc on Friday and have a CVS scheduled for Monday, so we'll get a look to see if the blood is absorbing and the placenta is attaching.

I did go to DL and ride roller coasters when I was 6 weeks along. I'm so worried that I caused this to happen. I just hope it all works out ok.

I certainly will not be going on any intense rides on my trip to WDW next week and will be taking it very easy.

Oh I am sorry for the loss of one of the babies. I had that happen too. It's so sad to go in expecting to see the two and find out there is now one. I am very hopeful your pregnancy will continue. I have also had the small separation and it went away.
Don't fret over your trip. It's very common that some will go and ride some rides as most don't even know they are pregnant yet. It's seriously a small speck at that time and quite cushioned. Do not beat yourself up.
I went about 5 weeks and road almost everything and all was fine.
What your going through is not your fault. It's one of those things. No matter what happens your doing all you can for your one in there. Stay calm and look forward to all your appointments.

I have some time still, not till the end of January, beginning of February. 3D ultrasounds are amazing! I went to a "non" medical ultrasound place to have one done and they burn the whole session on DVD for you! My 2 year old has been to Disney World 3 times already! Disney is so much more fun now having a little one around. It's amazing to see how their faces light up, even at such a young age. Haha, I felt the same way(I am just not one of those women that likes being pregnant), but once you hold your little one, it's all well worth it!

My 2nd pregnancy is so different than my first. I pretty much skipped the pregnancy symptoms with my first, but with my 2nd they are full blown! Ugh, praying my 2nd trimester is better!

Just checking in. My 3rd baby girl is due 4 weeks from today! Yikes so much needs to be done around the house before she comes too!

so excited I found this!!!! lol I am almost 11 weeks and this will be our first my second and his second. This time is a little scary for me since I am type 1 diabetic but things seem to be going along really well. I haven't had any morning sickness so I am excited about that. I would really like to plan on either next September or maybe October or possibly the week after thanksgiving but I am kinda nervous about it to be honest. My DS will start Kindergarten next year and I am a little nervous with taking him out of school I know I really shouldn't care but I do for some reason. Hope everyone is doing well!!

Just wanted to share some good news! The blood between the uterus and placenta that was found on Monday, is gone! Woohoo! The baby looks great, happy and bouncing around like crazy. Super active little kid, even at almost 11 weeks.
I'm so relieved!

Now I have a CVS scheduled for Monday to check for any genetic issues and I'm thinking good thoughts that we'll have great, healthy results from that too.

Woohoo!

Yay so glad to hear that!!

We had a gender ultrasound the day before Thanksgiving and the little turkey REFUSED to cooperate.... We ended up doing another one last night and although it took 20 minutes for him to do so, the little man FINALLY showed 'the goods'! We are incredibly happy to be adding a little boy to our family!

Lauren - congrats on the little boy! That's awesome!

Iggi so glad to hear the good news but sorry about the vanishing twin. That must have been hard to deal with, but the good news is def great!

rillsung - amazing! how are you feeling??

To everyone else - hope you're all doing great and pregnancies are going along well!!

Things for me are going well - 9 weeks left! WOW! Just enjoying the holidays and sort of dreading January as there is NOTHING going on that month and i feel like it's going to drag by!! I have nothing more to do to get prepared for baby, and I just keep arranging and rearranging all her clothes, the hospital bag, etc LOL.

Also, for anyone interested, I started a PTR for our October trip next year! It'll be my 30th birthday & baby's first trip (she should be around 8 months old at the time). Link is in my sig!

So we had our anatomy scan last week. DD will have a little brother. It's a boy!

But most importantly, his heart is perfect. My best friend's son had to have open heart surgery the day he was born because of a hole they found in his heart. That combined with not seeing a heartbeat because of a miscarriage last year, I don't care about anything else but a beating heart. :lovestruc

That's awesome, congrats! Sorry to hear about your friend's son and so glad yours is healthy! I agree that I was definitely interested in making sure ours had a great, healthy heart w/ 4 perfect little chambers at the anatomy scan!

How are you all doing? Hopefully everything is going great!!

So, we (I) skipped our breastfeeding class last night. It was from 6-9 PM and recently I've been going to bed at 7:30 (I wake up at 4:30 for work) and I just couldn't do it.

I'm wondering if anyone's taken a class and if so, what sort of things they learned? I figure we'll have a lactation consultant at the hospital, and I've read up quite a bit on it, but I still feel bad for skipping...

I can only speak from my experience, but I couldn't count on the lactation consultant at our hospital for a whole lot. She came in, but wasn't overly helpful which I think is because she was busy. It might be worth re-scheduling your class or possibly reaching out to the lactation consultant at your hospital now if that's possible.

Don't worry about it! Breastfeeding is on the job training to be honest. They can tell you all sorts of things... but until you are in the midst of it .... you will never get it.

I'd check with your pediatricians office too. Most of them have lactation consultants or nurses trained. For me breastfeeding was different with each child and I was able to figure it out as I went with a little help. There is a wealth of information out there and resources... so you won't be left hanging!

Breastfeeding is not innate, but you can learn it through trial and error and books. I did. It was a lot more painful that way, though. The lactation consultant for my first birth (when I really needed one) was not any help at all. The one for my second was awesome, but I had caught on to it with my first by reading books and trial and error, so I didn't need her.
