Hi all :)

Well I just found out that I'm a little more than a month pregnant and (of course) we have a trip planned for Florida at the end of September.

This is my first pregnancy and of course I am totally clueless about everything.

It'll only be 2 months when I get there, can I still ride everything?

I go to Florida every year almost, what am I going to have to do differently this year?

Like I said I am totally clueless, any tips at all would be greatly appreciated!!!

There are certain rides that are not suitable for a pregnant woman. No matter how far along you are. Just ride the signs before getting on a ride and if it does not say that a pregnant woman should not ride on this ride then you should be all set. BTW CONGRATS!

I was about as far along as you will be when we went back in 2002. I stayed away from anything fast and "jerky" (SM, BTMR, Dinosaur, KRR, ToT, RnRC, -Mission Space wasn't open at the time). I did the safari , which was a little bumpy in parts, but I don't think it would harm anything that early in pregnancy. I just did the slow moving rides and enjoyed the atmospere. I was a little too nauseous to do much else. Don't forget to stay hydrated!!!! :drinking:

Congrats on your impending arrival!!!

Sorry to tell you that at 2 months pregnant, pretty much anything could make you queasy! Try to stick to the tamer rides and make sure that you take lots of breaks and drink plenty of water....and bring a large box of Saltines :)

Congrats again!

I'm in the same boat as you - check out my previous thread from a few weeks ago...

My doctor has told me to just stay away from anything that has high G-force (I'm going to clarify that at my appt next week though)...

I too am newly pregnant (finishing my second month)
Theres more to staying away from fast or jerky rides than avoiding nasea. Basically, even at an early stage you can seperate the placenta from the wall of uterus- causing a miscarriage, or jarring the developing fetus.

This will certainly change the type of trip you will have, but it can still be fun. Enjoy the food (you will need to hunt for vegetables), Enjoy fireworks, and shows, rides like Snow White, Whinnie the Pooh, Peter Pan, Jungle Cruise, Tom Sawyer, Indiana Jones- in fact I think you will love MGM- so many shows!! Become a photographer- take lots of pictures, I like takign close-ups of the flowers. Go check out the animals at Animal Kingdom, walking is very good for you right now! Just make sure to eat right, the pounds you gain can't be lost.

Celebrate Life while you are there and have fun!

The rides that have a warning have a small triangle warning icon on the park maps. In addition, they have a warning sign at the entrance to the queue and at least one sign before boarding.
