I'm making my first t-shirts for our December trip and am wondering where the best place to get the t-shirts might be? Is there a specific weight or any other special things that make for a better transfer base?

Thanks for any help you can provide!

Diane

Hanes tagless are great as far as a regular T-shirt goes but I browse the clearance section and choose based on style and fabric as well as weave (to the touch) - I prefer any shirts tagless because my young boys scratch at tags no matter how soft they are, leaving marks on their necks. If you are doing T-shirts for both the guys and gals- Hanes are great for weight (not sure hwat the weight is but it is better than 9.5 oz is all I can say- which is a very thin cotton- so maybe they are more like 15 oz.??? Not sure as to the weight but again- feel... If you are going to order in bulk off line- go out to Target, Kohls, penney's first and check out different brands and what you do like and don't like- Penney's has American Eagle & Arizona oh & Izod- Hanes can be found almost anywhere, Wal-Mart has Route One - I think is what it is called, garanimals (for little kids), and they do have Hanes as well- many more out there- just scan around

Thanks Luv, I'm going to be making alot of shirts about 24 and was hoping to buy online in bulk to save a little money. Great input about the weight as that's a big thing for me I hate the really thin t-shirt material you find at some of the local craft stores. I like the thickness and quality similar to what you find in the t-shirts at all the Disney stores.

I was hoping someone here on the DIS would share where they had purchased online but looks like I'm just going to have to order from a couple of places and see which are best.

Thanks for your help!

Diane,
I ordered ours from jiffyshirts.com

They have so many brands, colors and sizes to choose from, it makes it so easy to get matching shirts for the entire family. And the delivery is very quick as well.

Thanks so much! I'll check them out. I also just found your site about the transfers and will be ordering those from you soon! Can you tell me if you can get several designs on one transfer sheet? As I type this though I realize the answer to that it's probably based on how large the image is right? Again thanks so mcuh!

Yes, you are right - it depends on the sizes of the designs. But yes, you can put numerous designs on one sheet if size allows.

An Ad came today for Kohl's- Oct 15th- Oct 21st for every $50 bucks spent you get $10- Kohl's cash- & Hanes T-shirts are on sale for kids and Men @ $4.99 - that is for pocket tees and performance tees , for kids- Comfort Soft style by Hanes- by the ad they are also tagless- You can get the deal in store or online! So you can check between going in to purchase there, get your shirts, your Kohl's cash and no shipping charges- or online- I am not sure of shipping charges compared to jiffyshirts
Good Luck!
