Preferred Sites Distance to Marina

:confused3 We are staying at FW in May and have reserved a preferred site. I know that some loops are closer to the marina than others, and of course we don't know which loop we'll be in (we've requested 100 and 200). Are all of the preferred sites walking distance to the marina? We really don't want to have to rely on the buses to get to the marina, but we don't want to rent a golf cart for each day either because of the expense. :confused3

We are also staying at FW in May, and have requested loop 100. We also have a golf cart rented because we will be staying for 11 days, to drive to the pool, and around the campground. We have also stayed in loop 500 which was a preferred loop, which if I remember correctly was within walking distance, but wouldn't want to walk it after walking all day in the parks. Our favorite loop by far is Loop 100, I am keeping my fingers crossed. Sorry I wasn't much help, Good Luck with your requests! :teeth:

We are going for the first time this year, and have requested loop 100 also, she said it would be no problem, but now I am finding they will put us in whatever preferred site they want, is that so? :scratchin

All of the preferred are within walking distance. But of corse the 100 and 200 are thethe closest.

We arrive at the Fort Saturday! Never been, don't know about loops, do have a preferred site. It's been the longest week my boys have had, ever!

We've stayed in them all. Our past trip was in loop 700. In our opinion, that was the best and we will try to get in that loop for future trips. The sites are bigger than 100/200, it is still close to the settlement/marina and it is across the street and not too far away from the Meadows.

Unfortunately it usually works that way. You can make a request - certain loop, near comfort station, etc. - but it's just that, a request. I believe Disney does their best to accomodate a request, but they just don't guarantee it, as there are always variables. I think they are booking based on availability, but it's the folks actually checking you in at FW that have a map of who is where and what's empty, reserved, etc..

That's my best estimate on that! Hope it helps. And I hope you do get 100! Great loop, I've been told. :goodvibes

Do you think 1400 is walkable to the Marina for a 5 year old?

This loop request is still driving me crazy! I can't decide if it's better to ask to be close to the marina or the meadows area.

Is there any way to guess which comfort stations will be less busy?

That's a great question. which of the comfort stations would be less busy in August?? Walking is not a problem for us, but it would be nice to have a relatively easy time getting a shower in the morning.
