Bear with me, it has been almost two years since our last Ft. Wilderness trip. I know it's early but I hear that you have to book the cabins very early or they fill up. In Nov 2007 we are going in our new fifth wheel and want to stay in a preferred site. My mom, sis and her family want to stay in a cabin. Will this mean we are at one end of the campground and they are at the other? Will we be able to drive to their cabin or will we have to take a bus? Thanks in advance!

Yes, you will be pretty far apart. Preferred sites are down by the lake and the cabins are at the opposite end. You can drive to their cabin, but if they already have a vehicle there you will not be able to park.

Maybe a golf cart, or :dancer: other :teleport: transportation :moped: would :drive: be worth considering :thumbsup2

We did that one year we stayed in a full hook up and my brothers family stayed in a cabin. we just walked to the cabin or took the bus what ever we felt like. The full hook ups are closer to the cabins then the preferred.

Full hookup campsites in the 1100 loop are right next to the cabins in the 2100 loop if you want to be close. Just request those loops and explain why when you book.
