We will be staying for a week during Thanksgiving....Saturday, November 20 thru 27th. We have two families with 30 & 34 ft 5th wheels. There will be 5 kids with us ranging in ages 6 to 15. Do ya'll have any suggestions for which loop to request?

Thanks,

Jan:sunny:

We like the 100 loop because it's close to everything. The marina, petting zoo, Crockett's. Alot of others prefer to be near the swimming pool and request loop 900. Will you have a car or will you be using Disny Trans?

I have stayed in loops 1400 and 1000 and like them both. 1400 is a preferred and 1000 is a full hook up. They are both close to the meadows pool, trading post, campfire.

We have a 35'tt and tow with an excursion and fit into our site (tightly) Just make sure you tell them it is a towed 35' trailer etc and mention if you have slide outs.

I also like the "looks" of loops 1200 and 1300. They are in the same vicinity as the other two. I am going to search these postings, someone out here has a site that has a map of FW on it. I'll post the link when I find it. If you need a pet loop, then I can't help you there.

Make sure they have your reservation numbers linked together so that you will be placed together in the campground.

We have been fortunate enough to get the 100 loop three times, last time last week. Overall the best loop in my opinion, but tough to get ... good luck. The sites are not the biggest, but we fit with a 40' Motor home.

We also like the 900 loop, across from the Meadows. Not a preferred however. Our favorite site in 900 has been occupied since Feb. Wow ... that's some big bucks for a full time camp site.

The 1200 loop is very cool, and we would like to try it sometime. Lots of room and two pull thrus.

We have stayed in the 400, 500, and 700 loops also with our 40' rig and backed in OK. You can fit in these loops unless you get a tough one.

Remember to check the book when you check in ... it shows a plan view of the loop and you can get an idea of what lies ahead.

Have fun at the best CG in the country ... you will be making memories you will never forget.

John

I would suggest the 700, the sites tend to be the largest of all the loops and just as close but not as congested as 100.

Jan, we are currenty here at the Ft. in site 305. The site is nice, wide and deep.

We scoped this site out last year when we were here and requested it for this year.

It is a preferred site, on a pet loop (we don't bring our dog, but did'nt mind it being a pet loop), and the best thing about it is that it kind of backs up to a playground. Our daughter can walk out behind the camper to play when we are here at the camper.

You're about half way between the pool/campfire area and the marina/Trails End.

The bus stop is about 300' from the campsite and the bath house is also close by.

When I get home, I'm gonna post some pictures on my picture sharing site. We leave easrly Saturday morning.

We enjoyed the 200 loop last year. It's very convenient to everything. I wouldn't recommend the 400 loop. If there is rain, it is a very wet loop!

For a full hookup, we liked the 800. Hopefully this year we'll be able to stay in the 800 if a Preferred site doesn't open up.

We just got back from staying in the 300 loop (site 308) and thought it was a great spot. May ask for 100 loop next time though to be closer to marina, etc.

I think alot depends on what you want.
To me the 100 loop is too crowded and seems like spaces are small. 300 is great but theres issues there recently with too many tenters on one site. This seems to be happening on a regular basis.
We're getting a new rv with satelitte so we decided to start going up to the higher numbered loops.

We have a 32ft TT and we stayed in 1400 this past March. We loved it !! The bathrooms/laundry and Campfire were right behind us. The bus stop was just a short walk away. We did have a golf cart to get back and forth to the pool, but could have easily walked it. My DS-12 LOVED it as he could walk to the pond to fish every evening. (never wanted to go to the parks)

We will definitely be requesting 1400 again on future trips.
