Wondering what everyone's preferred form of exercise is. Not necessarily the sport itself, but the type. I've provided some example activities that each type covers.

I do both weightlifting and running. Although running might be describing it in too glowing a fashion. Free weights 3-4 times per week combined with a 3.5 mile jog once per week and a 5-6 mile jog once per week. If I could do only one though, I'd keep the weights and drop the running.

Anything that gets me jogging or using my whole body. I like to bike at a medium pace, and I do use weights on occasion mixed in with my cardio workout. I love pilates, yoga, and tai chi also.

I do the elliptical, walking, Wii Fit, Sports Active and BL and Jillian Michaels workouts! Going to get back at some of those tomorrow!

Normally I run or cycle at least 3 days a week and lift weights 3 days. The last month I have been resting weight-wise letting some injuries that have been nagging my heal. Come this winter I will be adding swimming laps to my weekly regiment.

To be honest I think all are needed in one form or another. Maybe one is favored but to train all the muscles and different types of muscle fibers I think variety is the best option.

i voted 'other' b/c i like a combo of resistance low-impact interval, and low-impact steady state. mixing it up is a great way to keep your metabolism on it's toes

I said '12 oz curls', but would like to put an amendment to it.... it's actually '12 oz strip set curls', in that the circuit goes:

12 oz....

8 oz...

4 oz...

next...

:rotfl:

in all seriousness.... alternating weights/cardio 6 days a week with day 7 being a rest day....

I love to walk out side. But I also really love my Leslie Sansone in-home walking workouts.

hmmm, not sure what to pic. I like things that don't seem like exercise. Before I met DH I roller skated(in a rink) 4 times a week just for fun, then when I turned 18 I started going to the club on the Navy base and we would dance for 6 hours 4 times a week. I was very rarely off the dance floor so it was a good work out too.

Now I walk and do Wii Fit.
