Preferred Casitas vs Std. Tower Room

We stayed at CSR as the tower was being built and will most likely be returning there.

Which do you prefer - a Preferred Casita or a Standard Tower room?

I am leaning toward the Casita.

Reasons: Close to the first bus stop and also El Centro to grab morning coffee. Going to the main pool would not be as awkward, especially coming back in swim clothes.

Last time we were in a Rancho and while it was very nice and buses were still ok, it was really far from El Centro. (Main pool was closed then too)

I personally would go with the Tower Standard.

a) Pretty close to brand new.
b) There are coffee makers in the room.
c) I'd check bus stop order - I was under the impression that the Tower stop was first.
d) As for walking back from the pool - it's called a cover-up or large t-shirt over your suit.

And then just my personal thing - the worst stay I ever had was in Casitas. Granted that was 20ish years ago, but it was not a good experience (assigned to a room where the person had not checked out - and I think was in the bathroom when I walked in and figured it out...then assigned to a room that just wasn't great...even though it was in Casitas it just felt isolated, especially as a solo traveler - I'm just not the kind of person to waste time whining at the front desk so I accepted it) and therefore I have no desire to ever stay in Casitas again. It's actually why I have avoided CSR until now but would potentially consider staying there ONLY in the Tower.

The rooms are very similar -- I don't think that is a factor in your decision. Gran Destino is the first bus stop now. I'd probably go with a tower room. It'll be nearer to most of the amenities and the first bus stop.

As an FYI - the bathroom layouts are different and this can be a big factor depending on who is staying in the room.

In the tower - the sinks are in the same room as the shower. The toilet does have a sliding room to close it off - but it's still in the room with the shower/sinks.

Solo - the tower is great for me. But even with my partner - we prefer the sinks not in the same room as the shower - so we wouldn't pick tower.

The Tower is actually the last pick up stop on the resort loop. But on the flipside, once you board the bus you go straight to your destination!

When we stayed in Casitas the closest bus stop was #1 which is actually the last bus stop. I thought the tower rooms also shared that stop since they're basically in the same building as the lobby.

Perhaps I just got confused because it's labeled as Bus Stop one...isn't it the first pickup for Disney Springs?
