DH & I will be staying at PC for the first time in February and we're not which building to try and request. We will not have a car, so don't need to be near the parking lot. I prefer not to be far from a bus stop and maybe close to the food court? Any suggestions you can give me would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Hi Mary! I'm going to move this over to the Resorts Board so that you get more responses.

Enjoy Pop Century! I love that resort. :)

we stayed in the 50s section on our last trip and were quite pleased... i'm undecided as to whether to request 50s again or go for something different like 70s... 60s is preferred and more costly... imo pop is "small" enough that it's not worth paying extra...

We stayed in the 70's - building A. At first I requested the 50's building - but I am glad I kept my mouth shut about not getting it. Absolutely loved our location. We had a room facing the lake - very nice scenery. It was very close to the food court and transportation. I hope you have a great trip!

We stayed in the 70's building 10. It is close to the bus stops and food court. We plan on requesting this building again on our next trip.

I don't think it makes too much difference where you stay at POP, except for the 90s buildings which are furthest from the food court and arcade. Other than that, it's pretty quick to get where you want to go. Here is link to a map of POP - http://www.wdwinfo.com/resortmaps/pop.htm .

I'd recommend avoiding a room that faces a pool or a ground floor room if noise is a concern. In March, I stayed in a 50's building facing the Bowling Pin pool and it was rather noisy late in the evening, even after midnight. Even the air conditioner couldn't drown out the noise. Next time I stay at POP I'll probably get a more remote room, or at least one not facing a common area.

Everyone says 90s is farthest from the food court. However one of the 80s buildings, the one with the Roger Rabbit icon is even further away. We have stayed there twice, and once in the 90s despite my requests for 50s. It is a lower priority request, as we always ask for a king bed room and have beem accommodated 2x. And even with being "further" away, we love Pop and probably will stay there again when we need a budget trip.
