Preemie and disney world...

He was 34 weeks, docs say he was more like 32 weeks after they looked at him. He was in the hosp. for 3 1/2 weeks, had the respirator, ect... We had a (thankfully) healthy winter. He did recently have the croup, and we took him to the ER were he was given steroids and an air treatment. After 2 hours we went home and he was fine. I'm just worried that he'll get RSV and I'll think I could have prevented it by not going. On the other hand, we've been planning this trip for years and he could be fine... You hear a lot of the first winter but rarely the 2nd.

I normally say go enjoy the vacatio no matter what. However my sister had a boy (not a premie) in the hospital with lung issues in March one year. That same year in Dec we went to Disney & on a cruise. He ended up having issues & needed steroids & air treatments twice. She then got sick :headache: from the stress & at one point on the cruise I asked how she was & she said, "I just want off this godforsaken ship." Obviously not the best vacation for her (tho it was the best vacation of my life ;) )

So I would weigh the factors & decide if it will be worth it if you end up having to visit the doctor a few times while there.
