Prednisone Side Effects

I've had different side effects every time I took it. It does tend to 'hyper' me up (look out if you have high blood pressure). One time I didn't want to eat, another time, I craved salty, spicy foods. Not good stuff, I wanted salsa-flavored Doritos. All the time. They called to me from every grocery store and 7-11 I passed. Thank goodness for short term use!!!

I took it last year for 5 days and then this year for 2 weeks after having acute sinuitis.Started 50 mg then down from there.Other than the disgusting taste I had no side effect(well my arthritis felt better)but no negative side effects.It didn't make me hyper or hungry.

Some years ago I had a severe sore throat that just wouldn't go away(related to sinus drainage). Doc put me on a very short course(about a week) and I started feeling better in 8-12 hours! I was so relieved to have the throat pain disappear I don't remember any side effects. I had something like this one other time and got the same results.

Hope I won't need them again, but I sure wouldn't hesitate to take them. Good luck.
