Predictions for Saturday MK crowds?

Dh thinks Saturday will be quiet in MK due to the recent hurricane. I think it will be busy with people coming in for the holiday weekend. What do you think? Any predictions?

Tough to say. Anecdotally, I can tell you that the majority of my clients who were supposed to be coming in this week/weekend either rescheduled for later in the year, shifted dates slightly to come IN this Saturday or Sunday (so Saturday would not be a theme park day for them), or cancelled altogether. But then you've got locals who maybe weren't planning on going to the parks this weekend but are going now because they don't have power, are still evacuated from coastal areas, just need to get out of the house, etc. It's going to be a weird, unpredictable weekend in terms of crowds I think!

I also predict busy. Most of the fall break people whose flights were not until Friday were able to get into town. Plus as scrappingontario mentioned, all the locals who need a break and something to do.

It’ll be busy. No park reservations available for today Oct 11 but everything wide open for the weekend. Plus MK open until 11pm both Sat and Sun. I think it’ll be bonkers!

I'm local and have a park reservation for the MK on Saturday. I'm thinking that crowds will be significantly lower than normal Saturdays.

I’m curious to see myself. I’m betting the parks will be busy as local AP holders will be hoping the same. I have a reservation for AK tomorrow and MK on Sunday, so we’ll see. I’m not local, but have an AP
We have the same plans lol AK tomorrow and MK Sunday! See ya there!

I also think it will be crowded.

Expect the locals to be out in force. This weekend will have the best weather in months.
I cancelled my MK reservation today as I still have some outside clean-up to do. That being said, cabin fever for most/all locals should be in full-force this weekend at WDW.

I appreciate all the comments! It seems like a toss up. Today's wait times are pretty good, but tomorrow could be a totally different story.

So Saturday should be a good indication as to how big a group the locals are.

I felt like it wasn’t that crazy in the parks today. Although our touring schedule was opposite of what most would do, so who knows? We ended the night at MK. Went in after HEA and rode BTMRR LL, Haunted Mansion LL, and watched Country Bears. Planned to ride PotC LL but it went down.

It looks like you benefited from a slow Saturday. Glad it worked out for your group today. Normally the long holiday weekend it extra busy but many potential guests may have cancelled since they lost a day or two off this weekend's trip.

I was in the MK yesterday for ~3 hours. 10 - 1ish. Thought the Saturday crowd level was a bit lower than other Saturdays. Not that the park wasn't crowded. Just not as crowded as it otherwise would have been.

Would have liked some Disney magic (we took a hit in Sarasota) but there was no gas & power so can't chance it. Maybe this coming weekend if gas situations improve.

Here’s best wishes that this weekend you’ll be well on the road to normal - from a veteran of multiple hurricanes. BTDT.
