predicting park hours?

When will hours be officially released for Oct 2018? I'm trying to figure out a plan to make our dining reservations but the dates are only estimated at this point. How reliable are these sources?

I'm confused how I can make dining reservations 6 months in advanced if I'm not sure what park we will be at... how can I plan which park we will be at when I'm not sure the hours?

Hours will be out in time for you to make ADR's. Hours are out and listed on the Disney site at a rolling 180 days. October 1st is out today. There's a way to check and see and extra 10 days out from that but it's slipped my mind.

However you'll want to check again about a month prior to your trip when hours are updated.

You will know the park hours when the park closes for the night. Not likely but I have been at the MK when they have extended the park hours

In my experience, Character Locator is very reliable. It's what I'm using to plan my October 2018 trip. Like others have said, park hours can (and likely will) shift as your trip gets closer, but if you want something to use as a basis for planning park days and ADR's, I'd go with Character Locator.
