So Pete's top 5 and honourable mention were Hoop Dee Doo, The Hollywood Brown Derby, California Grill, The Flying Fish and Jiko. He didn't mention the honourable but I am pretty positive it is Tiffins.

Before I watched I predicted his top 5 and only missed Hoop Dee Doo.

Thought it would be fun to predict his bottom 5. And honestly I am having trouble.

I can only think of 2, 2 credit places that have regularly gotten panned by the Dis Team. The Aloha Dinner show and Artist Point.

Citricos and Narcossee are liked by Kevin and John from past reviews.

I don't think CRT would make the list, because while not fantastic food. It is an amazing dining experience.

Monsieur Paul is possible, but you never hear anyone talk about that place. Le Cellier is another.

Thoughts?

Not to second guess @WebmasterPete but I'd put Le Cellier, Hollywood & Vine, San Angel Inn, Whispering Canyon, and the restaurant at CSR on that list.

I don't know about Whispering Canyon but I am pretty sure San Angel Inn is 1 credit unless it changed.

I think they panned Le Cellier for being not worthy of 2 credits and not being a "real" signature restaurant and I agree.

Monsieur Paul is possible but it only came onto the meal plan in the last few years. Although their souffle is amazing I don't think it is as good as the top 5.

If you count pizza delivery at some of the resorts because they are 2 TS then that would be on my list for sure!

CRT would be on my list, the food is just not signature restaurant worthy and that should always be the most important factor although it is an amazing dining experience for children.

I've never hear anyone talk about The Boathouse at Disney Springs so that might be on the list. I know they liked Morimoto so that won't be on the list.

Pete is right when he says it is all about our own experiences. The last two times we were at CG it was just awful. Terrible service, high prices, lack luster food and small portions. We've been there a dozen times at least and never gotten a table by the window and although this is years ago, a woman was taking flash pictures of Wishes behind and to the left of me which ruined the experience so it isn't disliked for just overpaying for a view. So while Pete put it in his top 5, it would be in my bottom 5.

I miss the dining reviews by Kevin and John. They have excellent taste (bad pun intended) and could articulate well and with a good deal of humor what they liked and what they didn't although I will say what they didn't like was just a wee bit funnier than what they liked.

Whispering Canyon is only one credit - we ate there last trip.

I'll guess CRT will be on the list - I've always heard mixed reviews but I've never eaten there. But I've never eaten anywhere that takes up two credits. I'm cheap

I would guess CRT as the food isn't worth that and after a few times the "experience" wears of (so while still magical for my kids I am sure it is less so for Pete and the team)

Artist Point I think will definitely be on there due to inconsistency, and have others have mentioned Le Cellier as value per point isn't there compared to when it was 1-point

I think they liked Boathouse so I don't think that would be there

I agree the Aloha Show could be there

Only other one I can think of is Yachtsman - not that it is really bad but I know they prefer steak at other locations better

I agree on both counts. Been over 4 years since I've been, but when I went, I almost always had the dining plan - I like the feeling of everything being paid for ahead of time, so "all included". But I also never ate anywhere that was 2 credits. I also ate several times over the years at CRT (going all the way back to the early 90's), and never found it all that great. I think The Team has said before "you are mainly paying for the experience of eating inside the castle, not the food", and I've found that to be VERY true.

I also have the same feeling personally with California Grille. Were it not for that amazing view, it would not be "all that" to me whatsoever. It's okay to good for the food, but definitely not "amazing/must do again", and I've also eaten there numerous times over the years. Now I would only go if someone else I was traveling with/meeting requested it.

Is Coral Reef a 2 credit meal? I don't think that place gets a lot of love from the team. I could see that in the bottom 5.

Pete's been vocally critical of the inconsistencies at Artists Point so I think that one's a lock. He's also been critical of Le Cellier for value reasons. From there I honestly don't remember him being too vocal about 2 credit dining experiences, but personally I cannot imagine blowing 2 credits on Spirit of Aloha ... but that's just me and probably comes from having stayed at the Fiji and Tuvalu buildings at Polynesian one too many times.

I imagine Le Cellier will make the list on the argument that you can get a decent steak elsewhere for 1 credit. If CRT makes the list it would have to sneak in at #5

I would guess Le Cellier, Artist Point, CRT, Monsieur Paul and possibly STK (if its still on the DP).

See now I don't think I would use 2 credits on Le Cellier but I do like the place. I would pay out of pocket for it.

I do wonder if Pete has been back to Artist Point since the menu change and new chef. It made a world of difference at Flying Fish for Pete. Reviews have also trended positive there over the last year.

I know Yachtsman is going to make Craig's list.

We used to eat OOP at Le Cellier until it went 2DP and then I made a major mistake. I ordered the filet without noticing the menu change and when I stuck my fork into the mushroom risotto I loved so dearly only to end up with a mouthful of very bland zucchini rissoto I haven't been back. If we want steak we go to Yachtsman.

So Craig doesn't like Yachtsman? I'd like to know why besides being too loud in there.

Spirit of Aloha is more of an experience. I'm glad we went but it isn't a must do every trip.

Hoop De Doo is now on my list of things to do. I hope Pete is right Flying Fish. It is on my upcoming trip along with Ohana's on his recommendation.

Yeah I was really curious what Pete's honorable mention was too. I agree it was probably Tiffins.

CRT may be #1 on both lists, Le Cellier will be there too. I think any other on their lists are going to be more a matter of "not as good as..." rather than those two, which are just not worth it. I actually thought Yachtsman could be on Pete's top 5 but I guess the love is gone.

Craig mentioned in the Yacht Club 7in7 that he had a very bad experience there due to service awhile back. Left a bitter taste in his mouth.

I think it will come down to restaurants that are not quite bad, but just not as good as they should be. That being the case, Le Cellier should be on the list. That's just an anomaly of of an overhyped restaurant with a decent in-park location and mediocre steak ironically self perpetuated by Disney fans and probably the DISBoards as being THE ADR to get. Even Disney originally didn't feel it deserved 2 table credits. Supply and demand are the only reason. Create a small enough restaurant and enough internet hype and voila - a 2 table service credit restaurant is born.
