Pre-vacation anxiety?

This happens to me every time. We get to within a week or so of vacation and my excitement turns into anxiety. It is particularly bad this time, because my DH recently had knee surgery and I had a kidney stone. The test that showed the kidney stone also revealed some other weird health issue. It's not going to stop me. And I know we will have a good time. But right now I just am a big worry wart!!

You will be fine... take a deep breath... I get the same feelings like OMG do we have everything we need, and even like one day into my vacay I am freaking out...but once it starts flowing smoothly then I start to relax... make sure you drink a lot of water and also grapefruit juice is good for kidney stones.... and rent DH a scooter if he needs it....Have fun

That happens to me, too. This year it was particularly strong because I was taking the kids to the World without DH. I am happy to report that once we got to Florida I was fine and the kids and I had a great time.

I'm already having some anxiety about our next trip to Disney for the very first time. On our trip last month, I had a gallbladder attack the first night we got there. I didn't tell anyone in the family (it happened in the middle of the night) and pushed myself to keep going even though I felt awful. Six days later I had another attack that landed me in the ER at Celebration Hospital. We had to come home early so I could have surgery. I feel guilty because I ruined the trip for everyone. I'm also nervous about traveling again and getting sick again.

Just know you'll be okay once your out the door. You both need a vacation after your health issues
