Pre-Trip & Trip Report- Hard Blue Cocoa Fun Trip! Trip starts Pg3

Blue Man Group is way cool, we absolutely loved it and are thinking of going back in August.

Meant to ask before what you thought of RRR?

Sorry guys........Not feeling so well. Probably won't see update today. Went to dinner and to see the musical "Wicked" last night and half way through I started getting sick to my stomach, headache, etc. Not sure if my dinner didn't agree with me, or if its a migraine, or what.

I will be back though :goodvibes

P.S. See Wicked if you have the opportunity.......it was amazing

Hey lovin' your trippie can't wait to read more....agreed Wicked is great, saw it in London last year. :thumbsup2

Just caught up with your trippie.............fantastic so far........looking forward to more. Your pics are lovely. :goodvibes

We slept in a little today because we had such a long first day. Mitchell opted to sleep on the couch and that was totally fine with Allison. I don't think it was all that comfortable but he is a good sleeper and it didn't bother him at all.

We had our "free" breakfast and brought it back to our room. It was very good. Headed out to SeaWorld and arrived there at approximately 11:00. The weather today is again sunny, windy and upper 70's. Very nice.

We saw this odd looking vehicle on the way there:

This had us all laughing and was a great way to get the day started :lmao:

We paid for VIP Parking. I don't know if it was necessary, but arriving later I just assumed we would be parking out in the back 40, but after parking, I think we would have done just fine with the regular parking lot. Again, not much of a crowd at all.

Such a pretty park...

We fed the stingrays, which was absolutely incredible. So cool. In case you have never been, you can purchase little fish to feed them. The wall of the pool is about thigh high. You put the fish in between two fingers so it is "standing up" on the top of your hand. You then put your hand palm down onto the bottom of the pool and the stingrays swim over your hand and eat it. I was scared to death! I jumped a foot when I felt it take the food and soaked myself and Ed. All it was, was a sucking sensation I felt, and after the first time, it was very enjoyable. Mitchell really wasn't into it. He did try it, but when a stingray got near him, he just dropped the fish in the water and said "here ya go".... They are so graceful and beautiful. They are now on our favorites list.

Both the kids wanted to feed the dolpins so they got in line and paid ($15.00 each?) to participate in that. Here are a couple of pics...

Ed and Mitchell did this one:

They loved it and said it felt good to get wet and cooled off :goodvibes

We stopped by and saw the sea lions.....Man are they neat. We had lots of fun here. There was a guy on a speaker giving us information about the lions and the birds in the area that was very informative. Again we bought food to feed them.

We had a great day here. Heading out to the car, I told them to all hold hands so I could take a pic. Somehow it came out looking like they were carrying Mitchell ??? All still in good moods and having fun anyways :goodvibes

We were beat. So we headed back to Comfort Inn Suites and took a nap. Unusual for us, but I think the long day before really did us in. We woke up around 8:00 and went to the Golden Coral for dinner. $65.00 for all four us and there was tons of choices and it was very very clean. Good food. Full bellies we headed back to hotel to sleep.

Next up: Day Three ~~~Discovery Cove~~~

Looks like you had a great time so far! Hope your feeling better and can't wait to hear all about the rest.

Just wanted to say I've been very much enjoying your trip report, and I'm sorry to hear you had a migraine.

I hope you don't get another! But if they get more common, try making note of what you ate in the 24 hours before hand. It took me awhile, but I finally identified MSG (aka hydrolyzed soy protein, aka autolyzed yeast extract, etc...) as a trigger for mine. When I cut out the MSG (found in chips, canned soup, canned gravy, some salad dressings, cake icing, etc...), my migraines really decreased in frequency and severity.

Good luck!

Glad you are reading and enjoying! I want so badly to start planning another vacation. But alas, no funds alotted for that. With my daughter being a senior next year, that will cost me a vacation and then some :)

Thanks for the tip on the migraines. I will definately try to pay attention to that. I hope I don't have another for a very very long time. Kudos to you for figuring out your trigger, I hope mine isn't the same. I love all the stuff that MSG is in :(

Have a good weekend! And thanks again !!

Have a great weekend! Prom is so much fun. I hope she gets all sparkly pretty and has a great time. I'm having a big party for my boys this weekend and I think it may be costing me as much as a vacation! :scared1: I need to learn to step away from the shiny things.

Love your trip report and all those wonderful pictures! :thumbsup2

Can't wait to hear more and I hope your daughter had a great glittery time at prom. (She's gorgeous, btw!) My sophomore son is going with a friend to her junior prom tonight, but he hasn't even tried on his tux yet!

Sorry everyone for being M.I.A....... I have been having cluster headaches/migraines and just haven't been feeling too well.

My daughter went to the prom and everything went perfectly. Another day for the memory book ...

She looked absolutely beautiful! I hope it was the most perfect night for her. :cloud9:
I also hope your feeling better and the migraines have decided to go away. I have a few friends who have migraines and they swear by this prescription their md gives them. I'll have to ask what it is and maybe you can ask yours for it to help. Feel better! :goodvibes

Sorry guys I have been away for so long! I promised I would finish this and I will! Been dealing with migrains and crazy work schedule on top of baseball 5 nights a week......sorry, no more excuses...

We woke up at 7:00 am to shower so we could head out and be at Discovery Cove at 8:00 am like everyone here on the dis suggested :goodvibes

The main entrance was gorgeous!!!!!!!

There was a line already started when we walked in at 8:00am but it moved very quickly :) and it was nice to stand in the line and look around at the beautiful art!

P4150105.jpg

We got checked in and received a 10:30 dolphin swim time :) Which ended up being perfect timing for us. We headed over to the vest area to get "suited up"
P4150109.jpg

Then went over to the dining area and some breakfast. It was your basic stuff: bagels, cereal, danishes, juices, coffee, milk (white and chocolate) fruit, etc...
P4150119.jpg

P4150123.jpg

We then headed over to the lagoon/lazy river type area...This water was UNBELEIVABLY WARM!! The weather was overcast skies and very very windy with a high temp maybe 75 that day so it felt very very good to get into the warm water. This was just way too beautiful and fun. I honestly could have done nothing else but stay in this water all day. It was that relaxing and beautiful :goodvibes

About 10:00 we headed over to the check in area to watch our video and meet our trainer...
