Hola fellow DISers!

This is my first trip report of any kind and i'm 12, so please forgive me if you get bored, etc.

Let me introduce you to the fam:

DD:dancer: (50)-No, i don't have a 50-year old daughter..DD is my Dad (Mark). He is not the biggest fan of Disney, but after taking his kiddies (and the momster) on trips to Disney at least every year since 1993, it kind of grew on him. :woohoo:

DM :laundy: (age unknown)-This indeed is my mommy. She is the ultimate vacation lover and of course an extreme Disney lover! She will buy anything she feels like buying (or the kiddies feel the need to own)!!:woohoo:

DS ::MinnieMo (13...turning 14 on July 15)-No, I don't have son either. Micaela, my sister, is an extreme Disney and vacation lover (must take after the momster)!! She is a cheerleader and a straight A student! Micaela also plans on going to Princeton (in her dreams! muahaha  )

DB pirate:(10)-Oh my deary little bro, Brendan! He is such a handsome, annoying boy who loves sports, video games, and anything fun. He doesn't have a care in the world for work, especially schoolwork, but he still somehow manages to get good grades! :confused3

And lastly...
there's me! :tinker: Corinne (12)
Yes, i have declared myself Tinkerbell! I enjoy softball, volleyball, fashion, vacations, DISNEY!!, friends, and being around people (AKA PARTYING!!). I am also a straight-A student (though with my care for studying, i don't know how!).

Ok, enough about us, let's get on to the whole pre-trip process!!

My mom always plans vacations last minute, and it's usually easy for her..until this year........

It was a major debate over our two favorite vacation destinations: Disney World and Atlantis, in the Bahamas:

Should we return to our yearly (and more) vacation spot..Disney World?
But we were just there in November..
But i really want to go..

Should we return for the second time to Atlantis?!?
They got a whole new part to the resorts...
AHHH!!!!

Finally, through all the problems..mom pulled through!

We are returning to Walt Disney World to stay at the Swan and Dolphin from July 11 to July 23..

then off to Atlantis, Paradise Island on August 4 to August 13..

YAY!
Ok..now onto Disney!!

I am a major Disney planner; all of the planning for the trip is done my mom and I. Micaela, Brendan, and Dad aren't much of planners; if they didn't have us, they wouldn't have an itinerary of any kind, they wouldn't have any dining reservations, etc. Saving lives everyday! I should be a superhero. =]]

While my mother was busy with other stuff..I took the liberty of making the dining reservations and day-to-day itinerary! We usually (against the rules..SHHH!) make a couple of dining reservations everyday, just so we can pick the place and be able to change the park when the time comes. I told you..we are last minute people! Without further ado...so far, here's what I've come up with...
Suggestions are always welcome!

July 11th:

Our flight departs at 7:00pm, arriving at Orlando at 9:30.
We might rent a car..Last minute, I know!

Transport ourselves to the Swan and Dolphin resort and off to bed!

July 12th:
Kona Cafe-10:20am (We're not early risers!)
Magic Kingdom via monorail (hopefully the front) :woohoo:
Tony's Town Square-7:30pm
Decide on whether or not to stay for Wishes and SpectroMagic or ride the rides during the showings or just go to bed! *Most likely to ride the rides during the showings, then go to the resort before the crowds start to exit the park*

July 13th:
MGM Studios!
Mama Melrose-3:50pm
Spoodles-8:30pm
If we purchase the Annual Pass, we will return to one of the parks (maybe) or tour the Boardwalk and get icecream at Beaches and Cream!!

July 14th:
Magic Kingdom *Hoping to try to get there for the Opening Ceremony, though i doubt it because I am a late riser myself!*
Magic Tour for Micaela's bday!!
Plaza-2:30pm
Whispering Canyon Cafe-8:40pm*A birthday celebration for Micaela*

*I had to make all the day reservations in the current park because I'm not sure if we're purchasing the Annual Pass, so I had to be safe! Also, I had to make the reservations out of the park (for dinner) late because we don't want to leave the parks too early and not be able to return!*

July 15th *Micaela's 14th Bday!*
Church
Epcot
Le Cellier Steakhouse-2:30 pm (BDAY CELEBRATION ALSO)

July 16th
MGM
Mama Melrose-3:00pm
Citrico's-8:05pm

July 17th

July 18th

L'Originale Alfredo di Roma-4:00pm (if we go to EPCOT)
Artist Point (if we go to MK)-8:10pm

July 19th
Kona Cafe (Favorite and most convenient breakfast spot ever!)-10:00am
Animal Kingdom
Boma-Flavors of Africa-7:30pm

July 20th
Chef Mickey's-11:00am *late, i know, but it was all I could get!*
MGM
Mama Melrose-5:40pm
Portobello Yacht Club-8:00pm

July 21th
Epcot
Coral Reef-2:20pm
Les Chefs de France-5:00pm
Yachtsman Steakhouse-7:45pm

July 22th
Magic Kingdom
Plaza-3:20pm
Liberty Tree Tavern-4:20pm
California Grill-maybe...

July 23th
Flight leaves-7:30pm
Arrives-approx. 10:00pm
Go home =[[ Time for the depression..but wait!...we must unpack, wash, then repack for Atlantis in two weeks! Yep..that's how we get over our depression..go on another vacation!!!

P.S. My mom just informed me of a special surprise, but my sister isn't allowed to know, so I can't post it on this trip-report in case she reads it! If you want to know what the special surprise plans are, please email me or message me!! It's soo awesome!

I will return after a mini-break to post pics, and start with the packing process because I am on my laptop and the pics i need are on the PC!!

One question though: After the trip, am I supposed to start a new thread for my actual trip report or just continue on this thread with the trippie?!?!

Be back later so for now..

Have a magical day! :wizard:

Hi Corinne--
This is a good report! You'll definitely have to review all of the restaurants when you return. I'm thinking about trying some of them with my posse.

Thanks Bev1016!! Your report was excellant as well! I've been to most of the restaurants before, but I don't quite remember what we ordered, etc. I'll definitely review them when I return! From what I remember, they were pretty darn good!

WOW you certainly do not write like a 12 year old...I am very impressed.

How lucky are you first Disney and then the Alantis.

Sounds like you have the trip all planned out!!

Keep it coming!

We too are staying at BWV but arrive on the 29th.

Ok I'm back and I just heard about the great surprise my mom has secretly planned. Only I am allowed to know of course, because she likes me best (hehe) and I am the planner and secret-keeper! If you want to know, message me, and i'll tell you all the plans!! I'll inform everyone about it when I get back!

I am going to do my packing process tomorrow, so I'll update you then.
Am i supposed to include anything else in my trip report?? I really wish i could include the special surprise and the long plans for it all, but my sister might come across it, and i don't want to risk it! Message me for all the details!!

What a good looking family!!!!! A surprise and only you know...lucky girl!

Thank you very much for the compliment! I am turning 13 in October, but I am entering 8th grade. I guess you could say I skipped preschool..if you know what I mean. It kind of stinks because i'll be getting my license a year after all my friends do. But, on a good note, I am thinking of taking off a year before college to catch up (in age) and to relax and travel (to Disney, of course)

Another nice comment! Those are not the best pictures of us, but I wanted to get them quickly, so i took what i could get! You are a very nice woman and I can tell that you must be a great mother! Your comments gave me more confidence, I must say! Thank you so much for reading and stay tuned for the trip report also!
Have a great time on your trip!

You go, young Trip Reporter!!! How cool that you are a Disser and a Disney planner. You have soooo many years of Disney ahead of you, too!

AND how lucky you are to have a family that takes you to all of these amazing vacation spots... I hope you tell them thank you!;) That's the mom coming out of me.

If you want to add to your pre trip report, you can tell us some of the things your looking forward to doing at each park.

Can't wait to hear more... oh.. and will you be scheduling a visit to DTD to watch the new Harry Potter movie?! I noticed you were leaving on its realease date!!

Thanks Sooze, I'll be sure to say thank you to my parents! We didn't even know that we were leaving on the Harry Potter movie release date! That's a good idea;now i'm thinking about a trip to DTD for the movie....

Anyways....
back to the pretrippie!

I'm looking forward to trying a couple new restaurants, especially Boma! I'm also really excited to be taking the Family Magic Tour-it sounds like a lot of fun! Has anyone taken the tour before--how'd you like it??

On our last trip in November, we went to Animal Kingdom on the day we left, and arrived there after Mickey's Backyard BBQ (Thanksgiving dinner), so it was not early in the day at all. We weren't able to ride EE because there were no fastpasses left and the line was forever long. When we went to Animal Kingdom on the day EE opened in April 2006, we LOVED the ride and rode it numerous times (i don't know how). This time, I want to make sure we get to ride EE, so I've planned a full day there.:woohoo:

My mom and I are really looking forward to the big surprise :woohoo:
Send me a private message, and i'll explain to you..

Another new restaurant we are trying is the Artist Point. I think you're supposed to dress up a bit for this restaurant though.

I'm going to start packing soon. I have a busy week ahead of me, so I don't want to pack all of my good summer clothes, cause i'll need them throughout the week, so I am to pack my sweatshirts and some casual clothes. I'll update you then.

I'm having trouble thinking of what to write for this pre-trippie...suggestions are always welcome!

be back later..

We'll look forward to hearing all about your trip. I, too, with Avivasmom, am impressed with your writing. You're doing much better than a lot of adults do in the grammar and spelling departments. While you are on your way home, we'll be on our way there, as we leave on the 23rd and arrive on the 24th. It is certainly nice that you'll have another trip right away. When our trip is over, I have to come back and immediately get ready for a new school year. Have a great time, and I'll look forward to keeping up with your trip.

I'm also really excited to be taking the Family Magic Tour-it sounds like a lot of fun! Has anyone taken the tour before--how'd you like it??

We did the Family Magic Tour in 2005 and loved it...my DH was not so sure beforehand, but he had a blast and acted like a big kid. If you want to see pics let me know and can post them. It is a lot of fun for all ages!

Sounds great! When you get a chance, it'd be great if you could post some pictures!

There is a surprise at the end but do not want to give it away...if you want to know just PM me!

Thanks Avivasmom! The pics are great! From what it looks like, all younger children are there. Do you think the tour will be too 'young' for us (ages 10,12,13)?

Coming up next...Packing and a dining/birthday mishap!

I think it is fun for any age...but the age range in our group was a baby up to 14 and then the adults. Everyone acted like a kid. Even the grownups....

OKK..i haven't started the packing process yet..

We've decided not to rent a car, cause the only transportation we need is to our hotel (from the airport), to universal (once), and to church (twice).

Do you know of any transportation to get to our hotel (Swan and Dolphin) from the airport in the beginning of the trip and back to the airport at the end of the trip?? We need fairly cheap, easy transportation if you know of any!

Thanks Avivasmom and everyone else who is following this trip and helping out! I just finished the itinerary on microsoft word. My sister has made lists for everyone in the family of things that they need to bring. She said it only took her a few minutes, so here's my list:
