I used the Con. Spray on the kids I take care of last summer and did not like it...I didn't think it worked that well. I went back to just plain old baby sunblock for all the kids...it's what I have to use too!! I used to sell Avon and their sunblock worked really well!!

We posted at the same time! I use lotion too and just have to keep reapplying on my pasty white babies!!! Avon has nice stuff. I guess you dont sell anymore since you put it in past tense. I tried some a few weeks ago at my friends birthday party. Once again...worked great on DD2 but DD3 had an all-over rash for a week!!!!

Is the COntinuous spray stuff by Coppertone, like this? My friend had that on our trip and I tried it once: promptly broke out in a rash.

DS and I have VERY sensitive skin and we use this one . As long as I stay at 30 SPF or less, I've had no problems with it at all. I've read, and seen for myself, that the higher SPF's are more problematic for sensitive skin. And higher SPF does NOT mean better protection - it just means it lasts longer. For example, if you normally burn in 10 minutes, you can use a 15 and reapply after 150 minutes, or use 30 and not reapply until 300 minutes have passed, etc.. I stick with a lower SPF and reapply often.

We bought the Coppertone continuous spray and it has been fine. I like the SPF 30 though because it was basically $2 cheaper at BJs (yup - I'm a cheapo). I would rather have to reapply a little sooner anyway. But we also bought touch-up sunscreen wipes while we are in the parks...(Don't mind the DVC cartridges )

Not sure if she burned or it is a reaction to the face lotion. So, I have one other option...I bought a stick for faces.

I know others have answered but my friends DS is allergic to loads of suntan lotions and she found that he was fine with the super sensitive kids ones most ranges have them!

So this calls for a celebration!!

Ouch....same thing but only on DD3! You should see she has thousand of tiny red marks all over her back. Well, at least I know I applied the stuff evenly

Thanks DM - I love the pix too! I am a pain probably cause I keep reapplying. One year we went to the beach for 4 or 5 hours. I put sunscreen on twice but we still burnt. Its the one and only time the kids got red. Well, as it turns out, I used year old sunscreen and it didnt work very well. I learned my lesson. Buy new each year and reapply every 1 or 2 hours. Thats why I like the continuous spray for reapplications. I like your idea of the wipes too.

OK so I did a little research on the internet on sunscreens. As it turns out, and you all may know this already, but the active ingredient is what most sensitive skin users are allergic too. Also, the higher the SPF the more concentrated the ingredients. After SPF 30 you are paying more but may not be getting much more protection. Finally a different active ingredient called titanium dioxide works like a thin coat a metal to deflect UVA and UVB rays. So, tomorrow its off to the drug store to see if I can find a sunscreen with just that as the active ingredient. I think some sensitive skin brands might!

Wikipedia states this: In almost every sunscreen with a physical blocker, titanium dioxide is found both because of its refractive index and its resistance to discolouration under ultraviolet light. This advantage enhances its stability and ability to protect the skin from ultraviolet light. Sunscreens designed for infants or people with sensitive skin are often based on titanium dioxide and/or zinc oxide, as these mineral UV blockers are less likely to cause skin irritation than chemical UV absorber ingredients, such as avobenzone.

We were at the Derm. for our bi-annual visit yesterday. The sunblock I PM'd you about is called Vanicream (created by Derm at the Mayo Clinic), it is a SPF of 35, free of fragrances, dyes, parabens,oil, lanolin & formaldehyde. It uses a special zinc oxide (Z-cote) I beleive the Derm said this is what makes it special. Just ask for it at your pharmacy counter, if they don't have it they order it for you (we always get it at Target). No need for a RX. We also use the soap and lotion/cream. (Our allergy/eczema factor is fairly high though.)

Our Derm loves this product for extreme sensitive skins.

You can take a screenshot, or, in other words, a picture of whatever is showing on your screen (desktop) at that time. On a mac you press apple shift 3, not sure what you do on a PC but I seem to recall a specific 'screenshot' button on a PC keyboard years ago (though the last time I used non-Mac was the late 80s ). Anyway, it takes the pic of whatever's on your screen at that time and then you can go in to photoshop (or any image application) and cut out the bit you want. I use it a lot to take screenshots of my bank statements online, just in case I ever lose the printed ones.

Yes, I called three different pharmacies and no one around here has it. I would have to go to Target which is an hour away. However, the zinc oxide and/or titanium dioxide work the same way. They aren't chemicals (which cause the reaction) but they are physical barriers. They leave a thin white coating which helps to deflect sunlight. And whaaalaaaa....no rash!!! Course I have been running all day so I havent made it to the pharmacy yet. And tomorrow doesn't look much better But I am workin' on it. Thank you again for all of your help!!!!! Seriously where else could we get such care and concern except here on the Dis?

One last double check on Fast Pass Usage:

Let's say your fast pass window is 1pm to 2pm. Do you have to use it within that window or can you use it like three hours later? (Say at 5 pm) I do know you can't use it early of course. And I dont want a Disney "official" answer either...they, of course, want you to use it within that timeframe. I am asking what actually happens if you show up late. Has this actually happened to any of you???

Well Disney says....just kidding. I have heard a couple of different things. Yes, I heard that you can save them and use them for later. Some of the newer rides like EE and Soarin' they have been checking on though. Also, Disney has begun to install new FP machines that shows the time and date stamped much more clearer. I don't know if this will effect the way CMs allow you to use your FPs. I heard the new FP machines have started in the AK.

Now, I heard that if you get a child swap pass that you can return at any time to use those!
