Ok, this is going to be my first attempt at a trip report so I will start out w/this short pre report.

Cast:
Me - Darlene,34, 7th trip to WDW, proud wife to a 4ID Soldier, full time govt employee, mother to 2 girls, & just recently returned to college!

DH - Tim,33, 4th trip to WDW, Us army Soldier & my rock

DD1 - Alexandria,13yo,5th trip to WDW, has hit "that age" overall good kid that lives at the dance studio 5-6 days a week.

DD2 -Ashlee, 10yo, 4th trip to WDW (will turn 11 during this trip), just started middle school and is starting to enjoy more "girl" things.

Sara - 27, my best friend, married to a fireman, fulltime gov't employee and fulltime nursing student, mom to Kaylee & Aiden.

Kaylee - 4, She is like our 3rd child and my daughters are looking forward to showing her WDW.

Sara and I started talking about this trip in March while Tim and I were planning our June cruise & trip to WDW (his welcome home from Iraq trip). We ended up taking 2 days off our June trip to justify a 5 day trip in Oct. In July we decided to fly instead of drive due to not knowing if Tim was going to be able to get leave. In August I was able to get rt tickets from DFW on Airtran for $147 so I snagged them. We are driving to Sara's parents in Dallas (Aiden will be staying w/them while we are gone) Tuesday night and her dad will take us to the airport for our 0530hrs flight Weds morning. We are staying at Pop Century, I have a friend who is a castmember and was able to get us 2 rooms for 5 nights for $556. I have Jimmy from Golden Limo booked to pick up us in a limo (sshhh-surprise). We have already purchased our tickets for MNSSHP for the 8th (DD2's 11th b-day). I have only made a few PS for this trip: Weds the 6th dinner at Ohana's, Fri the 8th dinner at Crystal Palace, and Sat the 9th I was able to get CRT. We plan on checking out the Food and Wine Fest too. Well thats the basics and when we return I will try my best to post a detailed trip report.

Why arn't you staying at Shades of Green? Pop Century is nice but Shades of Green is too and it may be cheaper than PC. You can even walk to the monorail which is a great plus for MK and EPCOT. It has recently been redone and looks great. Check it out before you leave the World or even before you go on your trip.

Shades of Green is nice, and we originally had reservations, but the prices went up again 1 Oct. It was going to cost us $97 per room and we needed 2 rooms. We also prefer the Disney hotels, for the little extra perks: room charging & mickey wake up calls. We got Pop century for $552 total for 5 nights, 2 rooms. Last it was my daughters birthday wish. We saw the changes when we were there in June and it looks great!

Great reason to go to Pop Century!!! I originall thought it was $556 per room. Since you have a LIMO picking you up you can have Jimmy stop at one of the area Supermarkets so you can pick up some snacks, water bottles and other good stuff for the room. Sounds like a great trip.

Have fun! Last year at this time we were in Disney! Wish I was going with you! I'll just have to wait the 60 days!

Tomorrow at work is going to be the rough day. My coworkers are already telling me they are telling the boss to ship me out the door early :D .
