:wizard: I have a few ritualistic things I like to purchase before I go to Disney... what is on your list???

This trip, I'd like to get:

- Crocs (from everything I've heard on these boards, they sound super comfy)
- New shorts/tanks (I haven't gotten very much summer stuff at all this year)
- New aerosol tanning stuff (Seen it on commercials)
- Pedicure.
- New bathing suit (I wore the same one last year)

Share your list!!!

I have a feeling I'm going to be pretty bad about this since I'm at my 180 mark & already buying.

The only thing specifically for Disney is a Baggallini Messenger bag.

We've also gotten:
Maclaren stroller (needed a new one anyway)
Lens case
Several items from Disney Direct & Disney Store sales that will double as Christmas gifts

I plan to get:
A new pair of shoes

We're headed down in September & I just recently started buying:

New running shoes for the parks
New sandals for the parks
Some new shorts
New bathing suit
Sunscreen

I've been considering a newer digital camera, but haven't taken the plunge yet.

I'll also be getting a fresh haircut before the trip! :teeth:

I agree with the digital camera... I think we are going to do the same thing.

And, what is up with these baggalini bags??? I've read on here about them... but what makes them so popular??? :confused3

You MUST do the digital camera. I was reluctant :confused3 (as with all "new" things electronic) but I had a blast with it the last 2 trips and managed about 600 photos on average PER TRIP!!!!

We did the digital camera (it gave an excuse to upgrade :thumbsup2 )
Keens
sunscreen
New backpack
fans/mister
various ponchos/aqua cool

There more little things but this is the basic list. I'm planning on hitting the sales this weekend for some new shorts and tanks.

-New hair cut before trip
-New laptop (not a necessity but I wanted it anyway)
-New pink luggage for the little lady
-New clothes (not a lot but bathing suit, shorts and shirts)
-New rainbow sandals (I love em)
-Nintendo DS Lite (again not a necessity but a fun toy for ride over there)
-Not a new digital camera but new accessories such as 2 gig SD Card and a 20 pack of E2 batteries

Thats all I can think of right now.... :thumbsup2

Goin' in December -- I'm on the lookout for cheap glowsticks -- our local Jewel has sets of 11 glow "thinggies" -- bracelets, etc. for $1.00 and I bought a bunch of sets. Now moving on to the 6" sticks -- there's some cheap ones on eBay.

Cheap ponchos, and anything summer I can get on sale and not wear until December..... :cool1:

Mickey attire (bought on sale at the Disney store :) shirts, hats outfits for dd, princess costume...gotta have that!)
rain ponchos
new shoes
sunscreen
medications
purell
hopefully new digital camera!
things to keep dd4 occupied in truck
bottled water
new luggage for dd4
I'm even thinking of buying something soft to lay on top of the bed for my fibro. (An uncomfortable mattress can make me feel like I was run over by a semi! How are the beds anyway?)

That's all I can think of now, I'm sure the list will grow. Hope we can fit everything in our truck.

Lets see:
New Sneakers for everyone
*Crocs for me and Girls
*Clothes for everyone
*Glow Things
*Sunscreen
*Luggage
*Laptop
New Digi Camera (I just decided yesterday that I want one)
*New GBA games for girls
*Baggallinni Wallet Bag and Messenger Bag

I could go on, the *'s I already have purchased and am just waiting to pack.

*weekly trips to the Disney Store (yes it is bad when you show up with a disney shirt on, buying stuff for your vacation and use your disney credit card)
*weekly trips to Target and the dollar stores
*disney pins on ebay
*anything disney we can find

and the worst part is how much of this do we really need...???

I've bought several outifits and several pairs of sandals. Went to Walmart the other day and in the Jrs. dept. they have a whole wall of cute t-shirts, including Disney ones. I bought three ... almost four but I stopped myself. I LOVE SHOPPING FOR DISNEY. As summer comes to an end, summer clothes will be cheaper so I'm waiting a few more weeks before buying anything else.

At 12 weeks out for our trip DH and I decided we would by something every week until our trip, we didn't want to get stuck buying it all at once. We have bought:

Shorts
Shirts
Mister fan
Sun screan
Small toiletries
Ponchos
Pop Up laundry basket

We plan on buying:

New card for Dig Camera
Some more shorts
Etc.

My list includes:
- Solid colored tops - so I won't be embarassed by my pictures 10 yrs from now

- Comfy Bras - I do NOT want to be tugging at my bra in 90 degree heat!

- Glade Plug in (or the like) - just in case the last occupant of my hotel room decided to smoke anyway.

I read about the Baggallini bag on these boards--I found one at a good price/discount & decided to go for it. I have the messenger bag. It is very lightweight. It comes in lots of cute colors. There is the inside pocket, a zip open part that has compartments for organizing, a mesh side pocket for a drink bottle, and it is very comfortable to carry. I'm hoping it will work as well for me in the parks as other posters.

i'm worried about my digi camera, i have a big daddy camera, its as large as a LARGE regular camera (nikon)...i just dont think i want to deal with this cumbersome thing drapped around my neck all week. (i'm bringing it, but mostly for pics at the pool, and beach, maybe dinners, but not parks.)

I have a sony 5mp digi and a kodak 3 mp digi, i'm bring both...just incase :)

As for buying stuff...omg, im going BROKE! SOMEONE STOP MEEEE!

I've gone from a size 20 to a size 14, and have bought a new wardrobe only to face the possibility of hitting a 12 in 2 months..and being SOL.

I've bought a huge bag full of things like mini shampoo's, chapstick/spf, lots of sunscreen, i bought 16 ponchos for a 8 day trip (my DH thinks im nutso), all for of us bought 2 new bathing suits, new clothes, each got a pair of TEVA's, and DS and I crocs..(i bought 2 teva's lol), Lots of dollar store stuff like the glow braceletes, i have my downy wrinkle releaser spray, stuff for our beach week (after disney), all have 2 pairs of sunglasses, 2 hats, I'm going to be making each of us 4 tshirts for the parks (off of the beautiful art work of a fellow dis'er), My son has 2 new games (game boy) he cant open till we leave, a mini umbrella, 4 hand held fans (one with a mister), 4 fanny packs (i just cant see how that baggellini will be comfy after 8 hours...), a wallet purse. lanyard with pins for DS, 5 new large suitcases, 3 duffles and 1 pullman (small for DS).......omg, i'm telling you IM GOING BROKE! I cant even begin to remember everything i've bought, but ebay loves me right now.

I just moved on to another Rubbermaid tote filled with stuff for our November cruise and parks. Hit Big Lots today and found Princess journals for $1...I am still wanting a new digital camera...any reccomendations?

New dig camera- trying to learn all the little things it does...Sony Cybershot, small takes great pictures. large screen. So far it has been very user friendly. Takes a weird battery though, did come with a charger for it and the battery does last a long time..

Cheep ponchos, glow sticks, large wallet bagallini bag- really like it will hold everything I need but still be easy at the security check.

Need to get-
new sunscreen
tide stain stick- nope not going to sing the song...
DS-11 needs a new Husker hat before we leave, splashmountian ate it last trip!

Bev

We are driving this year so I have picked up all sorts of things for the kids to do on the ride. (coloring books, crayons, etc)

I'd like to get A digi camera and a personal DVD player for the car.

New shoes would be nice, the kids both recently got new shoes

maybe a couple clothing items too (a bathing suit for me)
