Pre-Trip Planning: Danielle's 2008 WDW Christmas Adventure

Just caught up again 
I can't beleive it's just over a week away
We're taking all sorts of clothes, layers so we can put them on and take them off whenever
Although when we have a full day out and about going into the evening we'll have to take out coats and put them in a locker.
Hope the next few days flies by for you, the time drags more as you get closer
I've never been so thankful for plenty of things to do at work
it does help the time pass

Did some shopping at Kohl's yesterday - followed by Shop-Rite (they're next to each other ...) Was there at 11 am - and the checkout line was only about 1/2 the length of what I remember from years past ... But I avoided it completely!!
How?
I picked up some pendants ($10 - actually $8.50 with another 15% off coupon - originally $60!) for the DD and two of her cousins ... and since I was in the jewelry area I could use that check out ... and there was NO LINE!!
I went there for only a few things - the Little People Princess Castle (Kohl's special edition - 50% off) and some shoes for the DD ... got the castle, but nothing in size 10 ...
... and then I strolled into the Christmas area - and the Hallmark ornaments were 30% off ... picked up the Mickey and Pluto bringing home the tree for my post-WDW tree ... plus a bunch of other ones ...
... and some games for the DD and cousins ...
... and now I have to go back - because I have $20 in Kohl's Cash that have to be used this week ... 
Trying to decide whether to pre-order the Photopass CD - and definitely leaning that way ...
... Considering that we bought a Buzz Lightyear photo and then ordered a few more when we got back ... seems like a no-brainer!!
DD is downstairs watching the My Friends Tigger and Pooh Christmas DVD ... so it's time for breakfast ...
and then the DW and I are going to the Trans-Siberian Orchestra concert this afternoon ... and the DD to her aunt's for a "play date" (they have no kids - well, there is her aunt's DH ... ... and this is the first time they've had Danielle all to themselves ... should prove interesting ... ...)

Raining here today - so a good day to make lists, start packing, etc. ... though we're probably gonna do some shopping and maybe see "Bolt", too ...
The weather forecast for when we leave NEXT SATURDAY (!! ) is a mix of rain and snow ... hopefully, if it happens it won't mess up our flight ... 
The forecast for Orlando next week (!!) keeps changing ...
Trans-Siberian Orchestra was amazing - go see them if you get the chance. And take the kid(s) - next time we'll bring Danielle (and earplugs ...
) . They played for about 2:45 - straight!! The first half of the show they did the entire "Christmas Eve & Other Stories" CD ... and then they ended with about an hour of "Christmas" and other music ...
A week from now at this time we'll be getting dressed for the MK!!
Time to check out the Photopass site and decide if we're gonna pre-order a photobook, too ...

5 Days to Go!!
Saw "Bolt" yesterday - very entertaining. On the spur of a moment, we managed to hook up with two of the DD's friends (and their mothers ...) for a playdate on a cold, rainy Sunday - after the movie ... and the kids ended up "playing Bolt" - with Ranger on the lead role ...
I can only imagine what Ranger was thinking with three 5-year old girls chasing him around the house, calling him "Bolt" ...
Put up some Christmas decorations ... Danielle's tree with her Little People "village", Advent tree, wreath on the door, and some stuffed bears, snowmen, etc ...
WDW planning? - uhhh - read the reviews on the all ears site for a CS restaurant at DHS ... doesn't look promising ...
There would be a good review, a couple of middling reviews, and then someone would totally trash the place!! Pretty much the pattern for each of the restaurants ...
... Any suggestions?
Other than that, didn't do much - except try to figure out if it's worth pre-ordering the Photopass photobook with the CD ...
... and called WDW to change our CRT ressie to only 3 people now ...

Your prep looks good. Fortunately, you still have a bit of time to pack. DH and I leave tomorrow night as we have a wedding in Tallahassee on Saturday and then hit the parks on Sunday. Talk about packing dilemmas!!!

... "in the pool" - maybe - if the temps hit 80 ... otherwise "around the pool" describes what I'll be doing ... (while I'm sure the DD will be in the pool!!)

The fact thet we're leaving Saturday finally "hit" my DW - she had her packing "panic attack" last nght ... ... at 1:15 am!!!
Still haven't finished my touring plan for DHS - but given the weather forecast for next Wednesday, we may not make it there anyway ...
DD just woke up and is sitting - and yawning - on my lap - and she definitely needs to brush her teeth !!!)

Made a file with pictures of all you DISers out there who I might see next week ... actually, we'll probably be standing in line next to each other and be totally oblivious!!
Which reminds me - gotta work on the LGMH today ... "at work" ...
Finished reading the "how to" video book the DW got me last year - some good advice ... but I'm not lugging a tripod around WDW!!
I have 6 1-hour tapes - so that should be enough ... I'll just have to control myself!!

You are too funny taking pics of us all!! I was just thinking that I am going to try and go get some LGMH before I pic DD up from school!! I cant believe it is 2 days!!
