Hello all. Just 37 days till our first trip.
what do all you disney pros do to countdown the final days before you leave? I think I have seen this posted before but I can't find it.
We are going to watch all the movies again to get the kids used to the stories and help them follow the rides better. DD 8 AND DS4. What else????
I am a nervous wreck that I'll forget to pack something we need..does everyone get these pre-trip jitters? I seem to have them bad, I just want everything to be perfect..
Well the countdown begins.........L

LOL! I feel the same way about forgetting! BTW we are leaving in 36 days, so we will be there at the same time..:)

We have done some things to count down. I started way back about 2 months ago with a Disney paper chain done in black, white & red so 4 1/2 yo DS can count down himself & learn his higher numbers a bit better.

We also have been watching lots of videos-especially those that he is not so familiar with like HunchBack, Dumbo, etc... Last year I wish we had done this before we went & he seemed a little lost during the shows.

For his little allowance, he is given 1 Disney $ instead of a regular $ bill (he gets one every 10 days for brushing his teeth, making his bed, picking up toys without being asked, etc...) We have also allowed him to turn about $10 from his birthday last year into Disney $ so he has a little something to spend while we are there.

I have been planning ahead by visiting the local Dollar stores & picking up neat glow in the dark items for nights we will be out later. Also found a small fanny pack for him, some neat Squeeze Breeze fans(in the lime-green DIS color), etc...

I started making a basic list already, broken down on different pages..things to pack in bags, things for carry-ons, things to do the day before we leave, etc....

HTH & perhaps we'll see each other @ WDW!

I made up monthly/daily calanders on the computer and printed them off for each of the girls to cross off the days as they went by.

I also made a weekly/daily list of things that had to be done, checked, reserved, confirmed, and rechecked, and I crossed them off as they were done.

I made packing lists, shopping lists and lists with all my ressie, confirmation numbers on them, and made little lists to keep in our wallets incase anything got lost, like park tix or travelers checks.

I hope other people can come up with some more ideas for you, cause I would like to hear them too.... Have a great vacation!!
