Pre-trip-After Frances, Ivan...we are FINALLY going!

This trip seems more surreal than usual. We were supposed to spend Labor Day weekend at Port Orleans French Quarter-then Frances showed up. I cancelled- on my birthday no less- and rescheduled for the next week-. How unnatural is that ?-no dice...Ivan was coming. I called to AGAIN resechedule for two weeks later (next weekend). Now last week at this time I was on pins and needles. Ivan was a category 5 storm headed right for south florida. We really were very lucky , as Frances did not do much damage here and we barely felt any effects from Ivan.... did I mention that I am a full time graduate student trying to maintain a 4.0 during all this?

I have to commend Disney. Both times I cancelled the day before arrival. I was treated with compassion and the CM's were so helpful , even resheduling Priority Seatings.

We will depart from my house on Thursday at 4pm in our van. I am keeping DS home Thursday.

We will take our time (for a change ) driving up and will stop for dinner on the way. Arrive at POFQ at 9pm???

Breakfast at the foodcourt
Bus to MK for opening

I am not anticpating heavy crowds, so I hope the weather holds up!
Lunch at CRT -12:30 pm

Dinner at fooud court/pool time


Sat-
Early bus to AK
8am PS at Donald's Breakfastsaurus

Dinner?-- we may go to Epcot or make a Ps at one of the resorts

Sun- check out and drive home.
short trip, but better than nothing!

Sounds wonderful!...but I would send DS to school...and pick him up early if his regular "arrival from school" time didn't coincide with the actual departure time.

(lol...he will spend the day being the envy of all his classmates...plus you will have kid free time to make sure absolutely everything goes as you wish it to go for everyone!)
