Pre-purchasing photo package

Quick question for those of you that have prepurchased the photo package. We've never ordered the package before the cruise - we just always get sucked into spending the $400 on the last night of the cruise. Looked at pre ordering to get the 15% discount. The price listed is $395.95 but I can't tell if that includes the 15% discount or not. Any ideas? Thanks

That is a fabulous question. i'm on hold with them now, asking about my own cruise for the $295 package for all digital prints. They can't seem to give me an answer.

Yes, the price you see on mycruisephotos.com is with the discount. It will be 15% more on board the ship. BUT only for the whole digital package and the whole digital plus prints package. Sometimes there's also an option for a 10 or 15 photo package. That isn't discounted. That's the same price on the ship.

Just make sure you choose which option you want. If you choose digital plus prints, they all are 8x10 unless it's a character experience and then I think it's a 6x8. If I may be honest about my feelings, I think the digital plus prints is absurd. No way I want 8x10s of all my pictures. Maybe 4x6 or 5x7, but seriously? Only 8x10? Silly.

One more not about the photo package. If you buy it in advance and then you get on board and see the photos and change your mind, you can cancel and get a full refund. You just have to cancel by the last night of your voyage (so the night before disembarkation).

Oh, also, are you sure you're choosing the right option? Sometimes the digital PLUS prints is the first option that pops up.

Last month we pre purchased the all prints package. Most of them were 8 1/2 x 11 (maybe 90%).

Thanks for the help - was just curious because when I went to check out it didn't indicate anywhere that it was discounted. I agree its crazy expensive and every cruise we say we aren't going to do it but at last moment - when everyone on the freaking ship is doing the same - we cave and buy it.

But this time I went ahead and bought the all digital pass and I'm going to go ahead and travel w/o the camera and focus on getting as many photos as I can! I saw the same price, $295.

If we decide later we want the prints too can we pay the $100 diff, does anyone know?

Yes. We did this- pre-ordered the cd and then decided to add on prints on board for an additional $100.
