Pre-pay for meal?

Is there any way to arrange to have a meal paid for? I would like to send a couple of people to a nice dinner (V&A), but would like to have it paid for in advance or leave a CC for payment - is this possible?

Can you give them a Disney Gift Card to pay for the meal?

My mother has done this for my husband and I before, but at local restaurants, not at Disney (she called and left her credit card #). I think you would have to get a direct number for the particular restaurant and speak to the manager and see what they say.

My son did that a couple of years ago for me at the Yaghtsman Steak house. He called the restaurant directly and used his credit card. No problem at all.

You'll have to call V&A and ask. If not, you can give your guests a Disney gift card in the amount of the meal and they can pay with that. V&A is prix fixe so figuring the amount won't be a problem (you'll have to throw in enough for a tip if you don't want them to pay the tip, and consider if you want to spring for beverages or wine pairings too)

I'm sure they'll do it. I did the same at California Grill earlier this year and it worked out perfectly.

I just helped a friend who wanted to do this for her boss; they are big Disney nuts and they took up a collection for him for Christmas. He had been very good to them this year, despite a drop in the economy....

I purchased a gift card for her; that way, they could do more than one meal or splurge on one big meal and it would be their choice. She agreed that they might think it was too much if they did one really expensive meal.....that they should be able to decide what works for them.

My MIL pre-purchased the wine pairing for us at V&A when we went there for our anniversary. It was a complete surprise for us. The restaurant had a card there for us telling us that it had given to us as a gift. I'm sure that she probably just called the restaurant and gave them her CC info. It was a really nice gift!
