Pre-Park Opening Droid Depot reservation

I've been second guessing all of our plans for the week of August 8th. I was just looking at droid depot reservations and snagged one for August 13th at 8:30 am with a park opening time of 9:00 am. I also have a later reservation later that day if this isn't a good idea. Does this give you any advantage, being able to get in the park early? We've never been to the Star Wars land so seeing it and experiencing it is the priority for us at HS, but I don't want to be behind the rope drop crowd if this would take away from early morning touring.

If you opt for a prepark opening, get as close as you can to the entrance of Galaxy’s Edge. You can get in and out quickly with prepark and near park opening reservations.

Personally I would take the later in the day reservation. You can take advantage of rope drop + less time to carry your droid with you.
