Pre-park opening ADR question

I have an 8:05am ADR for BOG. I figured that would give me a good chance at getting in line for A&E (couldn't get a fp) w/out having to wait forever, since we'll already be in the park rather than at the entrance when it opens. BUT we've never done an ADR before the park opens, so I'm wondering how it works. If we are finished eating before the park is open, will we be able to leave the restaurant and if so, is there a holding area or what? I'm assuming they won't let you go ahead and get in line for whatever you want??

this isn't in regards to BOG but we just did a prepark opening at Hollywood and Vine and I guess I hadn't researched it enough, but they make you wait outside the park in a special line and someone came through "checking us in" and then once we got to the restaurant you checked in again, it was nuts. I miss the old days!

The general "guess" now is that BOG Guests finishing Breakfast before Park Opening will be "held" in the "Castle Walls area" of New Fantasyland until the Main Gate Guests are visually seen approaching.:)

"IF" this is what happens,BOG Guests "should" then be allowed to "blend" in with the front of the Main Gate Line(making the $20.00 price much more attractive for many Guests!):)

Is that what they do with Crystal Palace pre-9 am breakfast guests now?

I agree! I'd much rather keep my lunch ADR, but I also don't want to have to stand in a crazy long line just so my dd can see A&E.

Yes,they are not allowed past The Hub area until Park Opening.

I'm not sure if they have to wait for the Main Gate Line to arrive in The Hub before entering the Lands.:)

I booked a BOG breakfast today too - also very interested to find out how all this will work out, for exactly the same reason (a&e). I was really hoping to just hop in line right at 9, and not wait til we see the horde coming, lol :)

If it does turn out that BOG Guests can head straight for SDMT or A&E and not wait for the Main Gate Line,8:00 AM BOG ressies are going to be GOLD!lol:)

We'll have to wait until Sunday to find out.:)

If it is a magic hour morning, would you be able to skip the breakfast and start riding rides?

I presume that BOG breakfast requires a credit card guarantee just like any other ADR, so if you don't show up for your reservation you'll be charged the $10 per person no-show fee.

If you have an ADR you must cancel it 24 hours ahead of time, although I have seen some people say it just has to be the day before, not really 24 hours. If you don't call and cancel you will be charged $10 PP.
