Pre-park opening ADR from Epcot resort

We will be staying in the Epcot resort area (BCV) for part of our next trip. I am thinking of booking an 8am reservation for Garden Grill on an Epcot RD morning. I have done an 8am at Akershus from the main gate, but wondering if the procedures are any different at the IG entrance. I figure there shouldn't be, and if we just show up early we should be allowed in to walk to the Land pavilion, but thought I'd check with the experts. The Land pavilion will be a bit of a hike from the IG, so I'm also wondering how early they will let us in.
