pre paid cell phones

I was wondering if there is any where onsite that I can get 2 cheap prepaid cell phones
we are coming from Ireland so using our own phones cost a lot
and which cell phone works the best
we are DVC members so planning on using them every year

Can you order from Bestbuy or Target online and have them shipped to your resort? I was looking online at the Boost Mobile (Nextel) phones because my DH has Nextel, and we liked the walkie talkie feature. Best buy seemed to be reasonably priced.

My daughter uses Tracphone. They are cheap, but effective. I just went on their link, and you can purchase one online for a little as $9.99 the your calling card min. seperately. You could have your order sent to your resort. Here is their link: http://www.tracfone.com

Another option for tracphone would be to buy one at WalMart. The phone itself isn't more than $18.00 here in OKlahoma. I don't know how Florida's prices compare.

Since you plan on using the phone for a few weeks a years look at the terms. Minutes you buy expire after so many months and I don't know what happens to a phone after so many months of inactivity.

They may deactivate the phone or something.

It maybe cheaper to buy a new phone each year.

I second the Tracfone, that's what we use. And we've used them in and around Disney with no problems whatsoever. They can be ordered online or purchased at most any discount store (Target, Walmart, etc.).
