Just curious to hear comments from those of you who own pre-lit Christmas trees. I think DH and I are going to buy one so I was wondering what I should be looking for.

My work has a nice one that revolves and I have been looking around for a revolving tree (with and on/off switch of course), but have had no luck. I know the work tree is a few years old so perhaps they don't make them any more.

So if you have any comments good or bad about pre-lit trees I would love to hear them.

Just make sure you buy one with enough lights...some 7 foot trees only have 500 lights! That is nuts LOL....If its 7 feet tall you should look for about 1500 lights on the tree....I bought one from Costco that was pretty nice....I am normally a real tree peson but last year bought a fake one...not sure which I am using this year though...

We have one that is pre-lit and rotates and it looks GREAT! It replaced our old tree that was looking pretty bad. We got it last year in late November at Wal-Mart.

The only bad thing would be if you didn't have a bunch of ornaments, or didn't like to spread them out since there is no "back" of the tree since you will see it when it rotates.

Hope that helps!

We got ours at Sears, on sale. It's 7 feet, with 1500 lights. It's beautiful, and lights up an entire room! I LOVE my tree and can't wait to decorate it!

One of the reasons I want the rotating tree is because I have so many ornaments that it is hard to decorate the back of the tree. I have an extensive ornament collection (around 20 Rubbermaid totes filled) and would love to be able to find one.

Good tip, thanks. That is useful information that I never would have thought about.

I bought one at the end of last year so I haven't seen it yet. It is 7 ft and has 700 lights, but I was thinking I can put more on. I usually put over 1000 on my other tree. I figured this would give me a head start having some already on. :)
