Pre-fixe meals & DDP

Hi!

Wondering if anyone knows...

The restaurants that offer a pre-fixe, like Chefs De France, allow you to use a TS credit for the pre-fixe meal. Can you still order off the regular menu as well, or do you HAVE to use the pre-fixe menu if you are on the dining plan?

I have used the TS credits for pre-fixe before, but I'm not clear on whether you can still order off the regular menu if you want to...

Yes, you can order off the entire menu. On the regular DDP, if you order a TS meal from the entree list, you get the entree (plus side dishes as listed in the entree description), non-alcoholic beverage, and dessert. For DxDP, you also order Appetizer.

Probably the prix fixe offerings are listed separately from the entrees because they cover multiple courses and a $$ amount above the 1- or 2-TS DDP credits (depending on restaurant).

You can order any entree, dessert and non-alcoholic fountain drink from the regular menu when using the DDP. Or you can order the prix fixe meal if you wish. Some on the DDP choose the prix fixe menu because it includes an appetizer. At Marrakesh and Monsieur Paul the prix fixe has an additional charge when using DDP credits, but Chefs does not.
