Pre Cruise Testing

Please let us know how it goes. Never thought of using our pcp. Interesting.
We did this for the Wish MV. It was extremely easy. They just watch you take the tests. It was like a $20 copay, and that covered both of us...

ETA: We did this over FaceTime. One of the staff there got our # and FaceTimed us...

OnPoint is what we are planning to use. We’ve heard up to 4 would test together, so that sounds attractive to us.

We are too. Have our appointment for Tuesday next week. We are family of 4 with one appointment. Very convenient!

Anyone use a pharmacy (CVS, Walgreens etc) to do your test? Any pros or cons?

The cost for testing for travel is no longer free at CVS & Walgreens. I believe they are charging around $125 for antigen tests. Some health insurance plans won't cover testing for travel.

Thank you😊

We had three and our proctor checked us all in, asked to see the tests sealed then walked us through step by step on the process. She then had us each hold up our results so she could get a screen grab and that was it. It was less than 20 minutes start to finish even with me doing my sons swab and swish as well as my own.

We got the results in about 30 minutes, uploaded them to safe passage around 11:00pm and got the clear to sail notice by 9:00am the next day. Couldn’t have been any more convenient.

I recently made an appt with Onpoint. I received a confirmation email for the appt but where is the confirmation number? Is that the order number I received in the previous email?

DH tells me that vaccinated adult travelers will not need the pre-cruise test after September 23. I am surprised not to see a reference to this here. Did anyone else here DCL was discontinuing the pre-test requirement?

Actually I thought too that you didn’t need testing if vaxxed. This is the one stumbling block for us booking the British isles for next year. If testing is indeed gone I’m bookingšŸ˜€

Yes. It was announced a couple of weeks ago. They’ve already dropped testing on b2b’s that are leaving out of Florida ports.

Edit: on 9/23 it drops for all ships but the magic. Magic drops on 11/7 when it’s done sailing to Canada and Bermuda

It was discussed quite a bit a couple of weeks ago when announced:
