Hey all! We are planning to go see Cirque du Soleil on Friday July 1 at the 8:00 show. Any recommendations for 2 twenty-something honeymooners for a pre-show dinner? Normally I stick with Earl of Sandwich when I'm at Disney Springs.

We eat just about any kind of food and have the dining plan as well (but would be willing to pay OOP as well)... Also, what time would you make ADR for? Or would they be necessary? I have all my other ADR's for the week already made.

Looking forward to hearing the reccomendations!

We had a great meal at Morimoto Asia. Raglan Road is fun and the food is delicious.
I'd stay away from T-Rex unless you like loud restaurants with mediocre food.

With an 8PM show I'd make dinner reservations for no later than 6pm.

We will definitely be avoiding TRex and Rainforest cafe for sure. We have rainforest cafe near us and I'm never too impressed. I will have to check out the other suggestions, however! Any specific entree recommendations at any of those?

I had the Duck Ramen at Morimoto and the "It's Not Bleedin' Chowder" at Raglan Road. Both were great, and I'm not normally a soup kind of guy. DD30 had the Orange Chicken and didn't care for it, but DW and I tried it and both liked it. DW loved the dim sum appetizer for her meal - wished it was more! DW had the lamb at Raglan Road and loved that too. OMG if you go to Raglan Road, do not miss the bread pudding.

We have enjoyed the House of Blues - which is conveniently next to Cirque de Soleil.

Splittsville - which is better than it sounds - is likely our next ADR when visiting newly changed La Nouba.

Newly opened Morimoto might also be a consideration.

We were faced with the same decision last year as the OP and originally had the Boathouse for an ADR... I ended up cancelling it and going to Raglan Road instead. Loved the place and would recommend going there. It is not quite, it is not romantic, but it is a whole lot of fun and the food is really good. As for a time; I think you will be fine around 5:30 or so. :thumbsup2
