Pre-booking Disney dining

Hi all

I apologise if this has already come up in another post but I couldn't find anything when I did a search.

Anyway my question(s) is/are;

As a non-Disney resort guest can I pre-book lunch or dinner at a Disney park or hotel and how far in advance can I do this?

I've read something about 180 days beforehand but I'm not sure if this includes non-Disney resort guests. I missed out on lunch at the Sci-Fi Theater last time because it was fully booked. I'm not going back to Orlando until next September but I don't want to miss out on Sci-Fi this time so I want to be fully prepared this time.

Also does anyone have other suggestions for lunch/dinner at fun/interesting Disney locations?

Anyone can make an ADR (advanced dining reservation) up to 180 days before the date you wish to dine

If you are staying at a Disney resort you get the extra advantage of being able to book up to 10 days worth of ADRs 180 days before the start of your stay.

We leave tonight and we are staying off site in Emerald Island.
I have made several reservations for character dining and other resturants.
they are really helpful when you phone and try and get as close to the time slot you require.

Hi Everyone

Thank you for your replies. It it most helpful to know that if I am a Disney guest I can book 10 days worth of ADRs (I am hoping to do a deal with 9 nights IDrive and 5 nights Disney) and the calculator for when to book was extremely helpful too - now all I have to do is wait for the dates to come around...
