Prayers requested please... Good news update - See pg 2

We got a phone call tonight that our nephew, 28, didn't show up for work today. Work called his parents and his father went to his home and found him unconscious in a chair. He was rushed to the hospital and is now in a coma and on a ventilator. They think he may have choked on something. This is all we know right now but it doesn't sound good. It is such a shock - we just saw him yesterday at a family party. We are hoping that we'll hear some encouraging news tomorrow.Please keep him in your prayers. Thank you.

How sad, Annette. Sure do hope he repsonds and is doing well real soon. He is in my prayers.

Thank you all for your prayers. He came out of the coma at 2:30 this morning but is still sedated. They are running tests and so far they know that there is no bleeding in his brain and his liver and kidney function are good. They still need to do further tests but then will bring him out of the sedation and see if he recognizes people, etc. Please keep the prayers and good thoughts coming. Thanks again.

Wow, that's so good to hear that he came out of the coma. Let's just hope that his condition continues this positive track!! Hope everything is okay. So scary.

Good news!!!!! He is awake and talking. He had no idea how he got there or what happened. They said he is very quiet but he recognized everyone and actually wanted to go home. He is running a fever, though, and they said he has pneumonia. The doctors still have no idea what caused any of this and they want him to remain in the hospital for the next few days so they can run further tests. We are just so happy and thankful that he is awake and has come this far.
