Prayers please - received bad news yesterday

I would like to ask to be remembered in my fellow DISers prayers.

I am 42, married and the mother of a 5 year old daughter. Yesterday I was diagnosed with breast cancer.

I have an appointment with a surgeon tomorrow (moved up from Aug. 12th) and I suppose I will find out my options then.

Any prayers would be appreciated.

Just got to work and checked this thread - You guys are amazing! I can't tell you how much I appreciate all the prayers and encouragement. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. It's such a help to me to have you all behind me.

I collected my films, slides, etc. yesterday and am all set for my 2:00 appt. today. I will post and update tomorrow when I get to work.

Oh, Kathi, I'll be keeping you in my prayers.

I've been there: I'm 43, had my mammogram on Feb. 19, on Feb. 21 my gyne called to tell me they found a cancerous lump. I had a lumpectomy on March 7 (my lymph nodes were clean, thank goodness!), started chemo April 4, am currently going thru radiation (will finish on Aug. 28). Please feel free to pm me if you need a shoulder. I've received so much support from the DIS folks; this is a great place when you need prayers and support. You'll be in my prayers.
