Prayers please...Medical issue..

No experience or insight to share, but I just wanted to say you'll be in my thoughts and prayers. I do know that there are several things it could be that aren't serious, and even the more serious possibilities can be successfully treated. I hope you get good news at your next appointment!

you're in our thoughts...the waiting is always the hardest-especially since there is so much info on the web to scare you. But most times it is nothing to worry about and when its not- you're getting tested early and treatment is most successful with early diagnosis

I have cysts that come and go with my cycle but there is one spot that is consistently easier to feel and feels like you described. I have had it checked and it has always remained fine.

I have a lump like the one you described on my left breast & it has been there for years now. The ultrasound & mammogram came out normal & it is consider a "benign" cyst.

Keeping you in my prayers :goodvibes

Lorianne, Please know that you will be in my thoughts & prayers.

I have always found great comfort in the words of Psalms 9:9 & 10

9 The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed,
a refuge in times of trouble.

10 And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee:
for thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.

My very good friend found a lump this week (well, at her yearly appt, they found it). They actually found two. They sent her for a mammogram, and she was able to go within days. She went today. She had a mammogram, and an ultrasound. They found a third, smaller lump during the ultrasound. All three lumps were hard, but in a cluster. (my friend is 39)

She had a needle biopsy this afternoon, and should have the results back by Thursday, if not next week. The surgeon indicated that lumps in a cluster can be a good sign.

My friend is a Christian, as am I, and we have been praying and praying. I will pray for you as well. There is no sense in worrying twice over something, however...so just keep the faith!!

Sending prayers your way. Please call each day, perhaps for a cancellation to fit you in. I understand about waiting.
It "sounds" like a benign cyst and lets hope it is. Stay positive and be proactive and stay atop it.
As a breast cancer survivor and as someone that is also awaiting my biopsy (unrelated to the first ) it is Very scary indeed. One day at a time, one breath at a time! Hang in there....:grouphug:

I most definitely have experience with this; I've been battling advanced stage breast cancer for 5 years now.

1. Try not to worry. Most lumps are not malignant. If your doctor is a good doctor and if he/she thought there was any possibility, you would have been scheduled for an ultrasound in addition to the mammogram.

2. If it is malignant, most women are diagnosed early stage. Treatment could be as easy as a day surgery to remove the tumor.

3. Even if it were to be advanced stage, breast cancer is very treatable. My oncologist has told me I could live another 20 years at Stage 4. And in 20 years, the medical advancement could be so great that it could be a complete non-issue.

4. Stay off the internet. Don't Google anything. And don't let people tell you their own horror stories. Everyone's experience is different.

5. It has always helped me when I get down about this to tell myself that worrying about it isn't going to change anything. If I have xxx amount of time to live, I want that time to be high quality, not full of stress/panic over things I am unable to control. The last 5 years of my life have been the best I've ever had.

I will keep my fingers crossed for you.

Another one in the lumpy breasts club....

I found a similar lump (hard and round, about the size of pea) several years ago. The doctors were pretty sure it was benign but ended up doing a biopsy. It ended up being fine.

I also had a needle biopsy done on a new hard lump (but smaller) about 4 years ago. That ended up being fatty tissue.

Wishing the best for you and may you have peace during the waiting.
