Update: Both tests found no bleeding or problems!! He did have 2 polyps that they took care of.
With every test, you (or at lease I) have the fear of that horrible "C" word. As for what the cause of his blood being so thin -
DH(49) is in ICU. I took him to the hospital on Sun. evening. He has been on blood thinners since Dec. when he had PE.
Sun. he said that he felt light headed, his head was pounding and he was short of breath. Of course this had been going on for 2 days and he didn't say anything.
His INR should be between 2.0 - 2.5. When they did a blood test in ER his was at 14.0!
He had a bout with hemmoroids last weeek and the bleeding had gotten worse (sorry TMI). With an INR of 14 - no wonder.
They have given him vitamin K and a blood tranfussion so far. They were supposed to do a colonoscopy and not sure of the name, but check his stomach also. They don't know what caused the INR to go so high.
So, any prayers or pixie dust you can spare would be appreciated. Thanks.
