Prayers Needed ~ UPDATE page 2

I just got a phone call from my mother telling me that my 77 year old father went in for bypass surgery two days ago. What was supposed to be a triple bypass ended up being a quadruple bypass. To say I am shocked is an understatement. Mom (nor my siblings) wanted to tell me until he was out of surgery. I am told he has opened his eyes, but has yet to be moved to a private room. If you can spare some prayers, pixie dust or positive thoughts I would greatly appreciate it. My fathers doctor told my mother he will require a great deal of home care after he is released from the hospital, and I pray my 75 year old mother is up to taking care of him.

It is just so frustrating being so far away from them!

I just said a quick prayer that your father recovers easily and quickly. Perhaps his physician can arrange for home nurses and home care for him. Medicare should cover the cost or most of it, that would help your mother out a bit.

I'll keep your father in my prayers. Are you the Debbi that I met at Garden Grill several years ago? If so, I also met your mother and she looked to be in good health. I'm sure that she will be able to support your father. My mother was in her 70s when my father had his SECOND bypass surgery. His second one also was a quadruple bypass.

Oh Debbi I can understand how frustrating it must be for you to be so far away. It sounds like he had a rough time of it, but being home can make a world of difference in the way people are able to heal and recover from surgery. {{{{Hugs}}}} to all of you.
