Prayers for New Orleans

Prayers to you from South Florida. My heart goes out to you and everyone affected. Please be safe. May God bless you. :grouphug:

Prayers sent for you and all in the path of the hurricane :grouphug: .

Prayers for all in the path of the storm.
I hope they can evac the hospital to a safer place.
When I found out this morning that the storm was 160 mph (now 175!), I cried for New Orleans.

Good wishes and prayers are with all those who will be affected by this terrible storm, along with all those hit a few days ago in Florida. Please be safe.

Prayers for you and all of those in this storm's path. I can only hope that this storm is downgraded significantly and/or turns around somehow before it hits land.

Awe it makes my heart sink to see the forcast for this storm. I truly hope that you and your horses make it through safe and sound. I hope that everyone in its path makes it through okay. Lived through 3 hurricanes last year and they were frightening but they were nothing compared to this one. I wish it would just go away :wizard: dissapear katrina go away!

:grouphug:

I feel so helpless for everyone and everything in harm's way of Katrina.
Know that you and everyone involved are in our hearts and prayers.
I hope those who are able will seek shelter and be safe. God Bless ^i^.

Thank you very much for all your prayers!!!! Our cable was just restored tonight. We are back in the 21 century. The devestation and horror is beyond words. We only have damage to our house didnt loose it like so many others. So many of my friends lost everything. We had to cancel our Disney trip in Nov. because I no longer have a job. There are only 3 hospitals up and running in N.O. now. My hospital might be months before it opens again. The stories I could tell. Living through the storm only to be afraid for your life from looters, and having to carry a gun to protect yourself. The wonder of getting electricity back on after 2 weeks and remembering a hot shower. Your husband who works for the parish working 16-20 hr. days trying to get the utilities back on. And him sleeping in his work truck for 7 days because there is no where else. Seeing the helecopters flying overhead and thanking god for the Coast Guard. And how yummy MREs are. Seeing first hand that if terrorists hit our country we are SCREWED. Also seeing the best help is from neighbors and friends not the goverment. We thank the country for all of your help and New Orleans will be back.

Glad to hear from you and that you are ok- thank you for the update!

So good to see you back, Poppinsme. Yours words, first hand, are so much more than words read in a newspaper. I hope and pray that you guys all recover over time, back to a normalcy. I can not imagine what it must have been like, what it still is like. My best.

Thank you. The horses are fine, they were terrified im sure. I had to leave them on there own when Katrina hit. There was no time to get them out. It was one of the hardest things I have ever done.
After the storm:
It was hell hauling water to them. I really really really understand now what the important things in life are. Running water is number one! :rotfl: :rotfl:
