Prayers for all our National Guard

I of course have prayers for ALL our servicemen and women, but I heard today that Connecticut reservists have been called up as I'm sure other states have done. There is a local ENT doctor being called up. He is 64 yrs old and doesn't know how long he will be gone. He will close his practice which he also did during Desert Storm. So let's say a prayer and show our support for all our men and women going overseas and the ones already there.

Add my prayers to the list. My Brother and Brother in Law are both in the same National Guard unit and we are just waiting for the call. They will both leave small daughters.

They will all continue to be in my prayers. I live close to Ft. Hood which will have 12,500 of 4th ID leaving. Some of my friends have husbands that are leaving.

My prayers are sent also. I feel for the families.

My cousin is headed to Ft. Drum tomorrow to help process units who have been deployed. She works for the National Guard as well as serves herself.

My DH (full time National Guard) said his good-byes to another co-worker on Friday who volunteered.

Today, we went to dinner with DH's best friend who leaves next Monday.

Our list of friends & acquaintances who are gone is growing.
DH who works at State Headquarters insists to me he isn't deployable. I so hope he's right!!
