Prayers and Pixie Dust Needed!

Hello DIS family,

I don't usually ask for this and I am sorry for the delay in updating everyone, but I haven't been myself all morning.

I received a call late last night that my best friend's sister was going into labor (she was 22 weeks). Well, the doctors thought they had her labor under control, but they didn't. Her body was fighting off an infection, which caused her body to reject the baby.

Her daughter was born at 4:38 a.m. and passed away at 5:08 a.m. She weighed 1 lb 4 oz and was 12 inches long. Her funeral will be this Friday and she will be buried next to her great-grandfather.

Please keep them in your prayers and send all of the pixie dust you can to her family.

Thank's everyone.

She doesn't want to talk to anyone, she hasn't spoken about it since it happened. Atleast she did get to hold her little girl. After she passed, the nurses cleaned her all up and put a white dress on her and wrapped her up. Her family has her footprints and handprints.

Currently the babies grandmother is planning the funeral. The sad thing is, just this past weekend we were planning a baby shower for her, and now we have to do this. She is still in shock and on some heavy meds right now. I will keep y'all posted if I hear anything new!

I am so sorry this has happend. Please tell her there sre so many others out there who have gone through this very thing. Long story but I have been through something similar. When she is up to it, she needs to talk to someone who understands and she can relate too. Everyday is hard for my husband and I and are other children. I will keep you all in my prayers while you deal with this tragic situation.
