My uncle took his life today, and it is a very sad day. He had some issues with depression about five years ago, and he has since been doing much better. But, I guess lately he has been struggling again. He had an appointment this morning and afterwards he took his life.
I am not overly close to that part of my family, but it is very sad. It's sad for his wife who found him. It's sad for his daughter who is getting married in September. It's sad for his grandchildren who will grow up not knowing their grandpa. Most of my family is in northern Minnesota this weekend for a graduation, including two of his children. He was an amazing man, and it's sad what the depression did to him.
