Nicole, I am very sorry for the loss your family has suffered. Depression is an insidious illness. It takes years away from the victim and their families. Not just the years the death takes away but the times they are so deep in their illness that they are also away from their families. A family member of mine suffered from chronic depression for most of her life. You and your family are in my prayers.

Thanks, Kim. It is very hard to grasp it all. He had so much love and family in his life. He ended his life at a time when there were so many good things about to happen. I have not had to deal with depression in my life at all. He is the closest thing to it. I do know that it changed him as a person, and he had no control over it. It's just horrible it had to end the way it did.
