The system just doesn't work.... a few months ago a coworker found out that a friend was in the process of being deployed to Iraq, his estranged wife disappeared with his children...

a few phone calls were made, and a Congressman was able to stop the deployment so the soldier could locate his children and get custody,

the system decided that {although there was evidence that the mother was dealing drugs and using drugs} the children were better off with the mother since the father was in the military and his family would be watching the children...

fast forward to yesterday..
.the estranged wife's boyfriend{lowlife scum}

decided to dunk the 18 month old in scalding water, the child has 3rd degree burns on his legs, butt, and his hands....

the drs' said he might never walk due to the damage to his little legs..

I felt the need to ask 58,000 of my closest friends to pray for the little boy and his father to help them get thru this horrible tragedy

That is absolutly terrible.

Many prayers for a complete recovery for the child. May God have mercy on him & he feel no pain.

Oh that just makes me nauseous and brings tears to my eyes. The poor baby... I am keeping him in my thoughts.

It makes me sick that something so horrible like that has to happen before someone does something about it.

How awful! Sometimes you hear these stories about how the system fails and it is so, so frustrating! Prayers for that sweet, innocent child. God bless his daddy.

the Marine corps is sending an investigative team an an attorney, to help him get custody,,and they're trying to get him temporarily stationed stateside so he can care for his son..

there is also a 4 year old daughter who was missing yesterday, they thought the boyfriend{lowlife scum} might have killed her..but they found her later in the day...

He still has to fight for custody? That is almost as sick as the low life scum boyfriend. Where was the little 4 year old?

How tragic.

I am praying that the little one heals up with no lasting effect and that his daddy will always be able to hold him in his arms and keep him safe.

And as for the lowlife scum boyfriend, well I can't post it here. You reap what you sow, and I will leave it at that. :mad:

not sure where they found the daughter,,I'm letting my coworker talk at her own pace..she breaks down everytime she talks about it..it's a very sad day in my office... in addition to this tragic story, one of our secretaries lost her husband last night.....

I will keep that precious baby boy, his sister and his daddy in my prayers. Hopefully they can all be together with no hope of the "biological egg donor" ever regaining custody.

As far as the boyfriend, his fate is in God's hands. You reap what you sow....

OMG! Reading this post gave me chills. That poor, poor little boy. I hope the lowlife and the mom are procescuted to the fullest extent. I hope and pray that the little boy make a full recovery. What a sad thing.
