Prayers and PD Please UPDATE!!!

My husband was bitten by a tick and is very ill in the hospital. They think it is something called Erlichiosis but he hasn't responded to the super antibiotic. This is a new but very dangerous tick borne disease. His blood platelets were down around 32,000 when they should be up around 200,000. He's gotten them up a bit but not enough. We are both really scared. We've never been apart in 38 years and tomorrow is our anniversary. He is my life and I just can't lose him.

You are the best people in the world and I know your prayers will be heard.

Those prayers WORKED! Last night he was given a new antibiotic and it broke his fever. He woke up around 3am soaked in sweat. He feels so much better now. It wasn't the Erliciosis but another tick disease called Babesiosis, but has the same symptoms. Now all we have to do is wait for the results of his cat scan on Monday and HOPEFULLY, I'll be able to take him home on Tuesday!!

I want to thank each and every one of you for all the prayers, hugs and pixie dust. It sure helped me get through this knowing I have such good friends here.
