You are in the CP right now, right? Where are your friends? I am assuming home in another state?

First of all, they are probably jealous. They are out of school now and back home to their lonely pre-college life. How cool is it that you spend your summer in Disney World!!!

Next, as everyone has said, true friends will last through anything. Is this girl from HS or College? Many College friends are convience, party type friends. Of course you met a few lasting friendship but how many really last. My Best Friend is a girl I met in Freshman year in High School. We live 1000 miles apart and only talk a few times a month but we are there for each other. The girls I hung out with in college and partied with are no longer in my life, you just go seperate ways.

I left the CP two weeks early because of a "stalking" issue in Orlando when I was there and boy do I regret those two weeks! CP is one of the best times in your life.... you haven't been there too long yet. My hardest point came 6 weeks after I was down there, wanted to come home, didn't feel like I had any real friends... guess who was my buddy then??? Brer Rabbit!! I rode that ride over and over again and I realized how lucky I was and that I was going to make that the best time for me as I could. I hung out with people, but I learned to rely on myself and family for "crisis". It turned out to be the time of my life.

Don't let a few girls that either are jealous, hormonal or just not worth your time and energy take away what could be the best time in your life.

May I suggest a book for you that I just read? Its called The Friend that Got Away. I read it after the break-up of a friendship with a girlfriend that left me devastated. After reading it, I realized every woman alive can relate to this, and my reaction was profound. I didn't realize how much confusion, pain, shame, and general devastation a girl-girl friendship break-up can cause. And yet it is something that happens all the time. After reading the book I feel so much better about what happened, realizing its normal, and I've since made efforts to renew the friendship I had with the friend, even though I know it will never be the same as it once was.
