Prayer Request UPDATE

DH just got a phone call from his mom, and her husband (they got married after DH and I did) had a massive stroke last night. He is in the ICU with his left side completely paralized. John is considerably older than my MIL, a smoker and does not have a very healthy lifestyle. Right now things don't look good, but all prayers would be welcome.

UPDATED TO ADD:

My MIL called about an hour ago, and my FIL is starting to regain feeling and motion on the left side. His gag/swallow reflexes are still not functioning, but at least there is improvement.

My MIL had a stroke a few years ago. Very scary. The first day or so is probably the worst as far as not knowing how things will turn out. She's had a very good recovery. My prayers are with your family. I know how hard it can be on everyone.
