My brother is working up in Dutch Harbor Alaska. He has come down with a horrible case of pneumonia, they have discussed medi-vacing him to Fairbanks for better care as medical services are extremely limited there.

He is on medication that his doctor back home ordered but they really dont have the facilities for this type of illness there.

Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers. My mum is worried sick and so am I.

Thank you all so much.

I havent heard anything yet today its still very early there so I doubt I will hear anything for a while.

He promised to call within 2 days, as you can imagine he is not able to talk much.


They are so isolated there You know the Deadliest catch show? Where they dump the crab? He works there. He is in management for them but everyone works like a dog there. So that gives you an idea of where he is.

Oh Binny...prayers to your brother! I'm so sorry and hope he is better when you next hear from him.

I sure have heard of the Deadliest Catch show. In fact, my DH and I just LOVE that show!!! Our DD said she saw the show a week ago and my DH and I haven't been able to find it on cable??? Those guys are the hardest workers I have ever seen. The conditions they have to deal with are unbelieveable!
