prayer/good thought request *** update pg 2 ***

Just found out that one of our good family friends had tragedy last nite. Their daughter (19) was in a car crash. It killed one of the other girls in the car. Also, the driver/daughter of our friend is not expected to make it through the nite. She is on life support now and has lots of injuries. There were 3 girls in the car. The other girl is in hospital, but I am not sure of her injuries at this point. Not sure of details, I know speed was a factor but I am not sure if alcohol was involved. At any rate, please give your kids and extra hug tonite!

HI everyone! Spoke with my sister today (who is same age as the driver). She said Amanda blinked a few times and also squeezed her moms hand. She is in a coma, but vitals seem decent. I guess no news is good news in this case? I imagine if she makes it through she will have a long road ahead of her. I know she has broken neck and some other injuries.

I did find out there were 3 girls with her. I thought only 2. One girl is not doing well either, but the 4th passenger looks like she will be in good shape soon!

UPDATE ....
Just learned that Amanda passed away this morning. My younger sister turned 20 today ... she and Amanda were in the same classes during school and grew up together.

She was doing better last week and then developed a "flesh eating bacteria". It appears that is the cause of her death.

Prayers and good wishes for the family members left to put back the pieces.
